| McShane in a couple of seasons time will be as good as Cunningham if not better having a lower centre of gravity and if he keeps the weight off and fitness up he will be a future England/GB hooker.
I am worried by Burrow's form. For me when McGuire is back I would possibly look at McGuire and Sinfield at half with Ablett at loose and Burrow as an attacking option off the bench (until his form improves). He does know the plays though, 'Yankey Doodle, Yankey Doodle'

People underestimate Buderus' role off the field. Even though Buderus is not the player he once was, as a coach/mentor/training partner for McShane he is worth his weight in gold. Especially now Diskin has gone. McShane is getting a one-to-one apprenticeship with one of the greatest hookers of the modern game.'"
Agree not gonna hurt learning off buderus

Is that a question posed as a trivia quiz or do you not know the answer (which I very much doubt)

| Either way really. If I don't know the answer I usually imagine I can find one pretty quickly. I think I got back to when Diskin and Millard were sharing the hooking role and gave up.

Agree. On all counts.
When Buderus is gone it's nice to think we've got Hood to continue a seemingly successful two hooker rotation policy.

That's a ridiculous statement. The kid has bags of potential but to say in a couple of years he'll be as good as, arguably the best British player of the last 10 years, is a enormous reach!
If he continues to develop, if he continues to improve his defence (which has shown signs of improvement, if he stays fit annd healthy, if he has the right players around him etc, etc.
If he does all these things, he might become a very good SL player, he might even play international RL, he might be the best hooker in SL and could still fall way short of Cunningham

You appear to have a similar man-crush on Cunningham as does G1 on Diskin

I quite like Diskin as well, but not as much as Buderus
I'd suggest the more worrying man crush is the poster who has informed us McShane will be as good as any of the above in the next 2 years

No man crush here.he has the tools to be up there and better than Cunningham in my opinion as does Roby if they continue in the way they are currently.

That is slightly more reasoned.
Roby is almost at that level and along with Graham is pretty much carrying Saints on his back at the moment. I still think it's very early in McShane's career to be saying things like that. Let him develop and see where he is in a year or 2. It's not long ago some Leeds fans were writing him off

2 years is a long time, does he have a long way to go to reach Cunningham standard yes. Is it achieveable? Yes. How will any of us be able to see 2 yrs in the future of a young player?
He has bags of potential and could get there it's not rediculious to think he could get there just someones opinion.
We shouldn't be getting too carried away with him but equally we shouldn't be writing it off completely.

982.jpg [quote:1pqtnbtj]Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.[/quote:1pqtnbtj]

Well said Andy.
Good spell by McShane. Certainly the better of the two hookers we played Thursday (what does that say about Buderus?(, but the jury remains firmly out on McShane. He's been a defensive liability at times this year. One good bench stint against a pish poor Bulls doesn't make him KC and doesn't make Buderus the greatest influence on hookers since Wendell Sailor.
