We we're and McD said it was going to be one of the first things he'll stamp out. It is the little things he should be looking at in these games including dissent.

to be fair leeds were okay to good the crusaders were poor with a few line breaks and only challenged the line on a handful of times. a cold night at Wrecsam -4 and a crowd of 1616

The crusaders were missing that little sparkle to unlock a defense ( gareth thomas was resting but hiding under a hooded top no sign in and around the bench of Jarred sammut) and the postional play of some players often left Leeds with overlaps. The crowd got behind the crusaders and you can see they are trying to make a go of it, but again no shirt sponsor ( or it could have been a new strip ) would not help the clubs finances.

leeds put out all first teamers but it did take a while to score with a great line by Keith then two tries in the corner by Ryan ( even with strapping on his thigh, Kevs kicking was off but he found his range with his third kick, danny B passes out of dummy half were very flat yet no forward passes in the game even the one that went 5 yds forward from Paul Johnson. carl ablett gave away a few penalties early doors for lying on which we got pinged for a few times as well as holding down and not letting the player up quicker but after a shaky first 20 mins Ablett played well

The second half saw us play better and the off load count increased with us bombing tries, great line breaks and support and a great last ditch tackle on webby but after 20 mins of the second half we started scoring and kevins kicking boots worked. Kylie put a big hit in and Ben cross tried to audtion for the next david haye fight but his windmills missed the mark. yje tries By bjb were well taken a great future awaits

Weller reckons his visa issue will be sorted in the next few days with JJB JP and danny mac and will be back for the sunny weather the feeling is we will have a bright future if we cut the penalties and take the off loads we will score plenty. I just hope the way the Lying on at the tackle is policed like tonight it will help the fast teams.

MOM kevin s but you could pick anyone no one played bad but i would mark Danny b down for coming out for the second half with a blanket wrapped around his legs eusa_naughty.gif

Ref 6 out 10 a steady game missed a few forward passes and waived back to 6 when a player turned his back on a kick

Sammut was there, he came across the pitch before kick off.

Quite excited about Ben Jones-Bishops participation in these games, done well over pre season and looking forward to seeing him in the squad.

BTW, BJB, Clarkson, McShane, Kirke, Watkins and Pitts will all double up on Sunday, providing the game gets the go ahead.

Good summary, will certainly test the fitness of the lads doubling up. But a bit that was missed off the summary. You mentioned cross fighting but missed out who with and if he won!!

many apologies It was right at the end of the match and it had been a "freindly" affair with no malice anywhere. Cross had been tackled got up to play the ball then bamm his arms went like Windy Millers windmill Not connecting once icon_lol.gif . the Crusaders physio thought he could take Cross on with that aim and ran onto the pitch to give advise or as a new cuts man. I didnt know who he had tried to hit as the Crusaders didnt have names on their back. The melee soon broke up and the REF gave the penalty to Leeds for the first punch thrown but Witt or whoever must have been annoyed at something to throw the first punch but I couldnt make out what had gone on maybe the ref felt sorry for Crosses ineptitude in not landing a punch but the hooter went for full time and the subsequent play the ball was a waste of time.

The squad gave all fans on both sides of the ground a show of gratitude and left with big smiles and job well done

I am very excited about Watkins, not in a healthy way. He's good, super skill set, will he lift up to awesome?

Todays game is off. Shame, would have been nice to see how the lads respond after a bad loss to Featherstone.

Because the game was called off they had a 30 minute "debate" about the state of the international game with Sinny, Buderus, JP and Brian McDermott. After that there was a q and a with them. Was a good laugh.
