| Brett Kenny, undoubtedly the most gifted classical stand off ever to take a field. The man had everything.
Close second, Wally Lewis. Valiant third to Laurie Daley.
Schofield would be up there but, I just can't forgive the man for trading his talant for few good nights out.

| Ok I'll forgive the abuse of grammar and join in. Nostalgia tempts me to say the ubiquitous John Holmes or the bionic barrel....but I have to say one certain Mr. McGuire takes some beating. His uncanny poaching ability even possibly surpasses Schofield's.
Just hope his recent injury hasn't blunted that rapier skill.

| My 1st real Leeds hero was Schoey then i was in awe of Harris but it has to be Sinfield for all the reasons Remakable Rhinos lists.
The 1st 2 were fantastic players in some good teams BUT Sinfield stands out and has led an outstanding team/squad with distinction and success imo.

| Brendan Carlyle - Doncaster half-back from the mid 90's. Had spells at Hull, Fev, Scarborough and York too.

| I'd say Frano Botica, not just for his metronomic goal kicking, but for his vision, his control of the line, the way he made Gregory and Edwards look so good at times, his work with some of the best centres in the world, and indeed some of the best wingers.

| To only repeat the obvious, Dave Heron.
I should also add, Ben Walker.

| I'm going to go with David Ward, not the most naturally skillful player ever to pull on a pair of boots but one of the most intelligent (his drop goal in the second half of the 78 Cup Final for example) and a fearsome competitor and leader. My first real "idol" in the game as a kid.

Quite right.
Awesome player, and a gentleman.
Older Leeds supporters will remember his two 75 yard tries for Wigan in their 13 -11 defeat at Headingley back in the late 50's. The match reports referred to Billy as Wigans sepia streak.
For Leeds, Les Dyl.
