| Quote: LEEDSLEADS. "Really Keith, you sure know your onions.
In the real world however Danny McGuire was one of the few who had an excellent World Cup. Even the Aussie Media (including Phil Gould) praised his performances.'"
McGuire's excellent World Cup
V PNG - played just 23 mins off the bench, did nothing of note.
V AUS - played 46 mins off the bench, did nothing of note apart from make 8 tackles, of which 2 were missed tackles, made 1 error and conceded 1 penalty for a spear tackle resulting in 2 points for Australia. Poor McGuire kick straight into the hands of Billy Slater in 63rd minute and Slater scores length of the field try.
V NZ (Group Stage) - did not play.
V NZ (Semi Final) - played 80 mins, scored 2 tries, but was largely at fault for the conceding of 4 tries. 18th minute, a McGuire turnstile attempt at a tackle in the lead up to Lance Hohaia burrowing over for a Kiwi try. 56th minute, McGuire knocks on, Bronson Harrison try for NZ from the resultant Kiwi next set of six. 68th minute, McGuire drops a Nathan Fien kick behind his own tryline, Gardner follows up McGuire's comedy routine in defence by failing to collect the ball and nutmegging himself, and Jerome Ropati touches down for NZ. 78th minute, Jerome Ropati outside loose pass flies into McGuire's hands and he fails to grasp the ball handing Benji Marshall a simple score in the corner. Game Over.

Keith, theres no point trying to debate with numpties like yourself. Your either a man of very limited intelligence or McGuire must of ran your cat over or stolen your girlfriend or something equally heinous.

This is my favourite... it is all McGuire fault that after a kick that Slater takes on the full he is then allowed to go full length of the field to score. What were the other 12 blokes on the field doing at the time and what lets them off the hook for the score?

There is still time for the king to have a telling impact on this season , Id have no problem with him winning it.

| Im very surprised that nobody has mentioned last seasons Lance Todd Trophy winner Michael Monaghan?? I do think Pat richards will win the MOS but Monas will definatley be in the running, His MOM performance in the semi final against Catalans just shows his consistancy carrying on from where he left off in the Final last year. I dont watch Leeds week in week out but what i have seen of Maguire is that he doesn't tick all the boxes in my eyes to win the MOS this season. Graham as always would be in with a shout along with O'Loughlin but i think the main 2 runners for this seasons MOS are Pat Richards and Michael Monaghan.

I would. He hasn't been the best player this season. He hasn't even been the best player at his club in his position this season. A lifetime achievement award? Absolutely. Man of Steel for 2010, nope.

| I just want it to go to someone who deserves it THIS season. Not to someone who they forgot to give it to over the last 15 years, or someone about to retire. If Richards deserves it this year then he should get it. He may never play as well again, he may get get crocked, he may play as well but in a crap Wigan season etc..etc..
The awarding for the MOS to Andrew Farrell in his last year before becoming the worst centre in English RU history still bugs me. Leeds dominated that year (finishing top by a record margin I believe) and you could have picked from half a dozen Leeds players to give the award to. Sinfield, Furner, McGuire, Senior etc. Then there was Big Les and his heroics on the wing, and his try scoring battle with McGuire was one of the talking points of the season.
The symapthy vote is cobblers.

Whilst I agree with you entirely I can't believe you've left Leeds best player from that season, and Harry Sunderland winner, Matt Diskin, off the list of named players.

| What's the odds of Sam Tomkins doing the double.
Young player of the year and MOS.
It could happen
However IMO MOS will come from Morley or Richards. Peacock would have been in that group but for his injury, and as a real RL fan, I'm gutted for him.

I'd be surprised if Tomkins picks up MoS TBH but Richards on the other hand would be my favorite.
