The annoying thing with that is last year Diskin was similarly "obstructed" when we played Bradford, but in that case they let the Bradford try stand.
Personally, I agree that it was obstruction. But , like most fans, I just wish there was consistancy with the decisions.

It was obstruction by the letter of the law but IMO it gave no disadvantage to Saints at all, McGuire released the pass way before the Saints defensive line was anywhere near him, not surprised or complaining it was given though.

| I'd like to grass Kevin Sinfield up for giving a supporter his kit before the Saint Helens game and disappearing into a cupboard somewhere!!

| Quote: Serge A. Storms "Agreed - these are professional players who surely have an understanding of how a ref is going to ref the game. Whilst Silverwood gave Saints every 50/50 he did not stop them standing square, he did not stop them getting back 10 metres and he did not stop them reefing the ball out.
On the Hall try - there was no way Moore would ever have got to McGuire but JJB should never have made contact - simple'"
Salford have just been awarded a try for almost the exact same contact. Two players have run in and made contact the same as JJB did and neither would have got to the try scorer but their try was awarded. The try which got Salford back to 6 - 12. Bad ref and VR double standards and that was a crucial part in our game last week. It's easy to see why players and fans alike get frustrated with rules to suit each game.

I said the same to our lass and the most annoying aspect was Phil Clarke saying today how it was a try as the 'obstructed' defender had no chance of stopping the try, which is exactly as it was last week when thesame Phil Clarke was ruling straight away bleeting no try and clear obstruction

Don't be surprised Wilko mate, tonight doesn't apply because it's not his beloved pies or the hub-cap tea leafs
It just highlights the inconsistency amongst officials and imo until Cummings is sacked and they get someone with bollox in who won't be afraid to jump on mediocrity ala Greg McCallum it won't change.
