i have to agree. i fully expected diskin to come back at loose as i don't think jjb had been off.

Sometimes you cannot coach beyond what the players are capable of - yes Tad is correct we did score tries from Kicks in the last GF - but that is the exception rather than the norm.

I was under the impression that the fact the club wouldn't give McShane a dual registration loan deal gave the indication that he was considered a valuable member of the first team squad this season, Obviously with ridiculous amount of game time he was given by Brian McClennan on friday it's a kick in the face to the player and can only show a lack of confidence in the player for reasons we don't know as he hasn't been know to have a bad game in the Senior side and has been in very good form for the u20's.

His 10 minute spell in the sin bin (conceding 3 penalties in total) at Hull KR last season didn't help the team too much that night.

True but the Sin-Binning was very unfortunate IIRC it was for Offside and he never got a prior warning from the Referee.

Opta missed it, I didn't. It was almost identical to one they credited McShane with an assist for in the home game with the Crusaders two weeks previously and probably led to my taking a keen interest in what Opta termed a 'try assist' and how it appeared to vary from week to week.

The point from The Joker was that McShane 'hadn't been known to have a bad game for the senior side.' There are some who might classify an unneccesary sin-binning (Hull KR were not about to score) as being detrimental to having a good game. I might even be amongst them.

You can't blame the coach for all the injuries. I would question continually picking Delaney (or anyone else) if he's half fit. I suspect the choice of Coady and Clarkson on the wings would have been down to them being the most 'solid' outside backs we have at junior level given Bush was unavailable?

As for McShane, hopefully he'll only have this season to wait to get his chance behind Diskin.
