The problem is that the game has become dominated by unskilled hookers and forwards who have no idea how to beat a man with a pass.

Pick and run from dummy half has become the norm, and we finish up with failed half backs playing at 9.

Hopefully the slower and contested tackle will bring back some of the skills necessary to unlock good defences.

not sure about that the only real problem I have with silverwood was totally bottling the spear tackle on buderus! It was off the ball too. As bad as I have ever seem. it was worse than scrutons on Cunningham.

We came closer to scoring more times than Melbourne. They only won the game really with about 2 minutes left, it was anyone's game before that.

Fair enough, but McGuire's try shouldn't have stood anyway. I was absolutely shocked by Watkins handling though, although he does have plenty of time to learn!

There was no concise evidence to weather he was offside or onside, so the benefit of the doubt was rightly given. RE to watkins, he has alot to learn but I still think he has a great future ahead of him.
