| Quote: Serge A. Storms "My concern about Tomkins are three fold;
His defence which has been really exposed in big games against a quality side - the Kiwis must be keeping their fingers crossed he starts.
His temprament which is suspect to say the least - he appears to have a really nasty streak in him especially if things aren't going well
'"
Remember Matt Kings sledging in the CC semi final? Tomkins was more interested afteer the first verbals to concentrate on Kng rather than play the game. The aussies might just have a bash at that. As for Myler, Smith HAS to play him to justify paying so much for him. I am still at a loss as to why Burrow isnt there.

| Does anyone know why The Lancashire Yorkshire matches stopped? And if we played these would they be beneficial for improving the standard of players in Super League?
p.s. Sorry if its in the wrong thread.

No space in the fixture calendar, no interest from spectators and players found convenient "injuries" which had cleared up by the next club game.

| This st ives fellow seems a very nice guy, have a look @ some of his previous posts in relation to Danny McGuire on the Warrington board.
He rates him very highly as a player and an individual. His posts are always delivered in such a unique pigeon english fashion.

Thanks, would it not possibly work though if say like Leeds did last year against Cas, teams used their squad. Thus giving first teamers high intensity matches and younger players exposure to top level rugby. As Leeds, Wigan and many others would still have a lot of quality overseas player in their teams.
Just a thought anyway, realistically never going to work but I for one would love to see it.

Because the players never took it seriously and the games drew poor crowds.
