| Hmmm, given it is the players vote this year I did think Senior would not make the top three but thought Peacock would... so that is the surprise for me!
Given that they can not vote for anyone from their own club I suspect that their was very little way of votes between Saints and Leeds players, so also surprised to see Graham in the list!
It has to be Mozza for me because he is well liked and I think that is part of the new player vote system we will have to live with I am afraid!
Just thinking that maybe the best way to do this is to have a players player of the year award (which is now the man of steel), and a 'press' player of the year award and then combine the two voting systems (some how) to select the Man of Steel! Would that be a better system with less bias?

| surely it would be best just to put the saints players names into a hat, and pick one at random?
bar that, why not just get the coaches to vote. seem as they are the ones who studies the opposition players. could even go down the dally M route of picking the best player every week, then totalling up at the end of the season

Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.

| As I,ve said last week Peacock is in decline, and the short list more or less confirms it.
Graham has years ahead of him and will still be playing at a high standard, he might convert his sulkiness to a more fistiful approach so the Leeds forwards need to watch out in the near future.

I'd take his quality over Graham's quantity any time.
Appalling that Senior isn't there and don't think Hodgson deserves it to be honest.
Remember the game at the Galpharm when we played them? Big game, big test for them, they could've overtaken us - he had a stinker and we walloped them.
He's had a good year and been a good player but not man of steel material for mine.'"
Agree at all here.
Mozzer all the way.
As for Hodgson I've highlighted the number of turkeys he's produced in big games. He's saved 'dancing through the tulips' against Celtic/Bulls et al

The Leeds forwards are s[ihit[/iting themselves as we speak. Last time he wouldn't shake hands. Imagine what he might do next time.
Graham is a workhorse but don't be silly. We have 12 year old forwards in our foundation Academy that he couldn't intimidate.
Your comments on Peacock are laughable.

Just checked JP's stats from previous years and compared it to his 2009 stats. He really REALLY isn't in decline.

Peacock is a terrific player, one of my faves from the last 10 years or so, mainly due to his approach in an England shirt and his obvious hatred for Aussies.
Graham deserves to be in the running for MoS, I know you guys don't like him but he's been incredible this year, better than last year in the circumstances as foar as I'm concerned.
