| Leeds were dirt nasty buggers yesterday, especially in the 2nd half.......and I loved it.
More of the same please.
Who cares if defeated opposition fans are crying and whinging. That's a bonus and means we're doing something right.

All three will be big losses non more so than Kevin Sinfield whose an inspirational captain. Hopefully we’ll either have someone like him in the squad already or rising up the ranks. It’ll be hard replacing Senior but he will be replaced with someone who can do the job just not as good.
Peacock wasn’t here around 2004 but has since been one of our better players. Personally I think the decline will come when Burrow and McGuire leave the squad. These are our once in a lifetime players - Sean Long and Cunningham were yours.

LOL what's funny is the saints players just take it.
NO retaliation. We head shotting them, hair pulling, punching chicken winging, grappling, facials in the tackle, and what is saints response to all this?
To lose the match.

Because they don't want to get involved with something you'd see on a BARLA pitch?
Leeds were a strong referee away from a defeat last night. You were so lucky you got Phil "Arsene Wenger" Bentham to do the gig.

Lucky for you then that he missed pryce's headslam tackle on diskin just before we scored and gilmour and flannery's grapples on burrow and hall or cunninghams forearm into Ali's chin when he was already down!!
If any of you scouse fairies watch the match again you'll see it was Tough game of RL and BOTH teams gave as good as they got!!!

Haven't seen the game but if it's anything like the one at KR earlier in the season when he 'controlled the game' according to Sky despite there being about 6 fights then it won't surprise me. Awful awful ref.

Leeds were the better side last night, and didn't need a referee to help them win. I actually thought they showed a lack of ruthlessness by not winning by more (going for drop-goals from 50 yards vs. a stretched and tired defence &c).
But both sides goal-line defence was excellent, while Saints, and Long in particular were off their best ball in hand. But al this bickering about biff has stopped people talking about that the fact that *either* side would have put 40 past Huddersfield or Hull KR in that sort of game, and, if those are the performances until the end of the season, a Leeds-Saints Grand Final is a guarantee.

| You can tell that thread is made up of 13 year old posters who've only watch League for about 5 years...about the third post time claims that Leeds have "always" been the dirtiest team
As mentioned elsewhere, people on here will remember 'real' dirty teams like Warrington in the 80s/early 90s and all Widnes teams. They'll also remember what soft teams Leeds had - able to play well on their day but prone to craping themselves against tough opposition (and of cause against Wigan)
Murray made the first tough Leeds team I ever saw - man it was great after all those years of hurt!

The day that Murray was dragged in front of the RFL disciplinary committee and told to tone down his teams aggression was the day that nancyball started to creep into RL.
Now we have them complaining about shirt-tugging and hair-pulling.
I'd love to hear Kurt Sorenson's opinion

It's an art.
The chicken wing wasn't even pulled up until cunningham gave the touch judge and ear bashing.
Last 5 minutes did you see kylie come in with a head shot on graham?
No penalty
No wonder graham was almost in tears at the whistle, ees a poor lad.
What i would expect from a team with any backbone in this situation is to come back with some niggle. Some facials in the tackle, abit of a grapple tackle (have you seen how many possible grapple tackles just get let go?).
If you watch the game alot of niggle goes on, it's a tough physical game.
Saints haven't really had anyone to niggle since sculthorpe retired.

| it's all bull from the stains fans quite franky. I remember at headingley last year, Shaun Long covertly punching Carl Ablett in the face. Got nothing for it. And the cheek to call us dirty when their standoff should be in prison?
They're just a soft team, they can give it but they can't take it, and because everyone's been so eager to crawl up their , they don't know how to deal with being second best.
Come on leeds, let's make it a hat-trick of titles
