| I thought we were at our best against Cas personally.
Some of the rugby was scintillating.
Still, I am sure moaning whinos will dismiss it for some reason or another.

these performances were of a very high calibre only great sides like leeds and maybe saints can produce

I wasnt there so can only comment on the games I have seen but watching the extended highlights on SLTV Cas' defence was the worst I have seen from a SL team.

| Depends what is meant by "best". I guess this team isn't the same as previous years so the best for this team will be different to the best for a team containing the likes of Gareth Ellis, Scruton etc. I'd say we have played at our best for patches of games - a little like everyone else does, and probably for most of the 80 minutes against Cas (unfortunately for them).
It's a little odd the way we started the year defending really well, but not really free flowing in attack, then as the year has progressed our games have turned into shoot-outs. It's the old story of getting the whole game - attack and defence - to fire all at once. It's not easy for any team and the opposition are overall a bit better this year making it more difficult.
Maybe we can't play better than we have already, but if we could combine that early season defensive discipline with the improved attacking play we've shown (especially now Smith and Donald are looking dangerous on the right - and Webb seems to have found his try scoring touch again), we will be very hard to beat. But that's a very big "if".

True, but they did give up in the 2nd half, which Leeds pounced on superbly.
They should never had given up. Their heads went.

We didn't give them any choice to be honest mate we were ruthless and left them in tatters.

I disagree.
Yes they were ripped to pieces, but they did have a choice.
They chose to give up.
There is always a choice.
At much lower levels i have experienced many ruthless beatings, but you get up and carry on.
So if I could do that, like many others do, i would expect more from a group of professionals in their GF.

| I would expect whino ts to pick low intensity walk in the parks like cas at home as obvious choices.
For attacking rugby it was probably was.
But for characterstics that win titles i felt we really showed what we were about earlier in the season.
Games like cas away, typically a bogey ground for us, when we weren't on our best form, showed real grit to grind out the result.
Hudds away as well, if you want an attacking performance. We had lost a few on the bounce going into this, hudds were 3rd....best defence, and we took them apart. It wasn't easy either, watch that first half again.
Oh, and inb4 ''you need to score points to win the grand final, guffaw''

| We havent hit our straps yet and why would we you win the title in October not any earlier. Over the season we have shown character and determination and now we are starting to become ruthless. I havent been happy with all the performances but if you can win whilst playing badly then you can't complain. I am proud of the way our players have handled this season and I expect them to make it a hatrick of titles come October.
The last complete performance I can remember was Old Trafford last year and thats what I expect again this year coz thats when it matters.

| I really am shocked about the idiots choosing a really poor walk over v Cas as Leeds best performance!!
Truly shows the calibre of posters on this site.
Anyway, best performance has to be the defeat at Saint Helens early doors, mainly due to the fact that Saints had to play at a fired up 100% to beat a Leeds team playing at 80% and Leeds really battered Saints that night and hurt them physically.
I think this really set the season up for Leeds knowing damn well that Saints playing at 100% would be nowhere near Leeds playing at their maximum intensity, that game was the pivotal game of the season for me.

You expect us to drop loads of ball again? That was hardly a complete performance.

I agree. We generally do look better without Buderus.
