| He could be fit for the GF (should we get there), but depends on the severity of the break. Very, very big blow to the squad and to the man himself. I can't see him being match fit even if he makes a remarkable recovery.

True can take much longer. I hear Kirke has begun rehab following leg break and ankle ligament damage against Catalan - working hard to reduce lay off.

The decision to run the squad with 2 first grade hookers has been fully justified then?
Not via the flawed on field rotation by the way.'"
Not really it was always the case that in the 1st season we would find out how well they could compliment each other and this far into the season we have found out they don't, Officially we have 3 First Grade Hookers in our squad also and Paul McShane i hear is currently ahead of schedule in his rehab although i wouldn't be expecting anything too soon...

| This coach, the previous one, and the Chief Exec identified that the club had run an unecessary risk operating the squad with only one recognised hooker in previous years and fixed it by buying the best they could.
A couple of months back, this board was full of experts indicating Diskin should be immediatly binned off.
Fortunately, those running the club have far more idea than the know-nowts. One senior hooker is now seriously injured but we can run with the other for the next 11 weeks without the disruption of playing makeshift replacements or inexperienced kids.
That fully justifies the 2 hookers in the squad for me.
You seem to have deliberatly misunderstood this, as I excluded McLennans flawed use of these assets which is a completely different argument.

| As I've argued all along, the question has always been what to do with Diskin within the first choice seventeen when Buderus is clearly a 80 minute first choice hooker. A situation everyone in the game seemed to acknowledge the moment Buderus was signed, even some know-knowts.

Correct, always an interesting debate that one, one the coach hadn't mastered and sadly something that isn't going to be a problem for the rest of 2009.
You didn't advocate cutting diskin from the already weakened squad did you?

Certainly not in 2009 but I wouldn't have been surprised if Diskin had or still does find a way out of the club before his current deal ends in 2010.

That's true, It interupts the flow of the team it seems when Diskin replaces Buderus and i personally don't think we need Matt Diskin hear in a Hooking capacity...

I very much doubt he will be available at all this season.
Six weeks minimum in pot and the muscle atrophies. It will be at least another 6 weeks rehab IIRC for this type of injury.

You raise an interesting point in that Diskin is OoC at the end of 2010, could you tell us when the other first team squad members are OoC, and also what their current age is?
Go on, you know you want to....

Justin Morgan was creaming himself over Disko on Friday nights Five Live Sports commentary at the game - does he know something we don;t about where Disko maybe next year
