If we could manage to improve our discipline then we wouldn’t need to defend half as much as we do. But maybe that’s why we have such a good defence is due to the fact that we spend most of the frekkin’ game defending after conceding so many frekkin’ penalties.
Still find it hard to believe that Ablett managed to get pinged TWICE for being a gooby cock.'"
I guess he won't be on the invite list to yer summer BAR-B-Q'S then mate

Even if Ablett had have ripped Ganson's head off and took a dump in his neck, I would have excused that behavour, for the penalty given against him for the "alledged" trip on Drew. That one was clear as day, with Ganson have the clearest view that Drew dived.

I don't think you can excuse ablett mate,we all know what to expect from this ref especially the players and whilst i agree it must be really frustrating there's no defence for his reactions.
Although ganson didn't react when grix had a go at him when adjudged to have knocked on!!!

You might not mate, but I do.
I am not excusing dissent on a whole. I think the problem that Leeds are having is that so much of the side have developed together without playing for another club. During that time the number of harsh and inconsistent decisions we are now seeing have not been there, so the players have are not used to dealing with this. The frustration they are now experiencing, and lets be honest we all would, they are not used to dealing with.
This makes it harder not only for the players, but also the coaches to get a grip on it. Especially when the coaches aswell are feelign the frustration of the inconsistencies.

I see yer point and it's clearly as confusing as it is annoying but in our sport we don't want to see reactions like that no matter how hard it is to "bite yer lip".
In the past the team has managed to rise above it and their rugby do the talking which i wish they would do now plus as a whole our discipline is poor anyway and we should concentrate on rectifying that rather than chelping at the ref.

| Ablett seems to have a habit of laughing at penalties he gives up, and laughing at mistakes he makes

I cant remember a time in the last 5 years that we have personally experienced such inconsistent decisions against us.
I am not saying they are wrong decisions. I mean I have mentioned previously that I think we are one of the worst for holding down, especially JJB, Senior and Peacock.
But I do think we are getting penalised for things, that other teams are not. And the players are obviously feeling this frustration, which must be hard, considering the work they are putting in on the pitch.

| My concern with our defensive system is that we don't chase from marker.
We get numbers in the tackle, peel of slowly - all fine so far!, then leave the last players lying on top of the grounded player who is them pulled of the grounded player by the 2nd to last player to get up (the 2nd marker), the last player to get off then goes to first marker and then does nothing.
Shouldn't the first marker generally chase the ball receiver and put some kind of pressure on to stop teams getting a roll on? we don't and our opposition easily make yards.

I would agree with that and on the last tackle we don't apply any pressure to the kicker, even when Brough put the ball straight out he was under no pressure.

The kick was charged down once on Friday and was close to being charged down on a few other occasions. Unfortunately Wakey got the ball back and had 6 more tackles from within 15 yards of their last tackle.

The old "check and chase" system? Where the first marker would chase out at the first receiver and the second marker would hold and cover the acting half?
No one plays that anymore because teams put such quick players at hooker. I tried it for a while, and we were getting killed by hookers who could send the first marker off chasing and then beat the second.
Everyone plays split markers to just cover off the acting half, and they then fill in the line once the ball has moved away.
