| Would have been better putting the 40 players they keep going on about on boots n all into two seperate squads and having a "trial" game.
Must say the French were very poor and even with the missing Fakir and Elima would have still got mullered!!!
Also the Bobby Goulding "judge me after 3 years" statement was as deluded as the French who set him on!!! 3 years.......he'll be lucky to last 12 months.
Bring on Aus + Nz.............

| Haven't been able to watch the game, so can't really comment specifically, but I agree wholeheartedly about the England v Overseas game. I appreciate that we have to try and integrate the French into the international competition but this serves neither side any good.
England are miles behind Australia and NZ, and France are miles behind us. This is the same side who were not deemed good enough for the World Cup's 'Super Group' and failed to reach the semi's against the 'lesser nations'. Now they are suddenly worthy of competing against the big 3 (used loosely)?
I want France to succeed, but this isn't they way to go about it.

| I honestly think france should go back to the federations cup against ireland, scotland, england A and the pacific isle's.
Even with ferriol, fakir, elima and pelo they would of got tonked and it does neither team any good.

With a full strength team out they'd have been competitive [sizeIF*[/size they were up for it.
They've ran NZ close and beaten them in recent years and put up some performances against Australia that England would have been proud of but equally they can get mullered by England or perform as they did in the World Cup.
*And thats a big IF.

I agree to some extent mate but they need to be competitive when they have a few missing and playing an england 1st team isn't gonna help imo.
Whereas if they played england A(U21'S) and maybe scotland they could be quite confident before the match that they would be in the game so to speak.
They looked well beaten before kick off imo the 4 nations will be way out of their depth and possibly ours so i don't see what they can get out of it.

Competitive as in not getting completely savaged probably yes but what I really meant was good enough to be a real threat to England. They'd have the advantage of being virtually the Catalans team I think that would count for alot.
I know Raguin and Fakir are definitely injured and Pelo presumably the same but Stacul, Elima and Ferriol all played against Leeds last week, so why not for France yesterday? Have Catalans done an early 90s Wigan and declared players injured to give them a rest? Last night there was even a Catalans junior - who has never played first grade - getting an international cap as well as another young reserve grader who has never played in the Catalans first team in the starting line up.

Shame that Kevin Penny is no longer playing in super league because if these two can get on an England team then he can surely.
I’m also with Oldham on the England v Expats. Maybe we should allow French players to play on both sides though in order to develop they game.'"
I do hope your joking, An in form Gareth Hock is IMO the best Attacking English Second Rower in the game and i'd be looking to pair him up with Gareth Ellis in the 4 Nations...

I’m afraid not. He has the odd good game against lower teams. I wouldn’t put it past him putting in a good four nations performance though. I just think that he is very overrated.

Jon Wilkin? Or would you class him as a loose forward?

No i'd class Jon Wilkin as a Second Row, yes he's a good attacking player but he doesn't IMO have the Physical Attributes to be a Top Class Internation Second Rower which i believe Gareth Hock has...
