Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

As we are looking for overseas players, I am at least glad that we are going for top class players instead of average overated aussies who can only get in a super league team because of their accent. Leeds had the right idea by signing players like Webb and Buderus.

Interesting comparison when you consider coley was one of their "marquee" signings and we got kirke from the national league!
I personally would pick kirke on his contract over coley.
FWIW i've always thought coley was over-rated especially when karl harrison used to bang on about him at salford and he's done nothing to change my mind since he went to the pies. |

I heard Wigan's target list was: Luke Robinson, Sean Briscoe, Lee Gilmour, David Hodgson, Terry Newton, Martin Aspinwall, Stephen Wild, Kevin Brown, Danny Tickle and Micky Higham.
It'll cost them a fair bit to prise those players away from their current clubs, I'm sure.

Paleaaesina
Coley
Prescott
O'Carroll
Davies
Coley is therefore the equivalent of Bailey/Burgess and not Kirke. |

Every time I see a Wigan game, the lad appears one of there star performers (from a bad bunch accepted).
I never understand the moans from the Wigan lot about him. But I dont dispute what you said, that when he was signed he was allegedly one of their better signings. |

The problem with Coley is he tends to give away silly penalties on a regular basis and his ball retention isn't the best - that apart he is a pretty good player.

Kirke has shown his quality over the last 2 years and as such has been rewarded by being given a squad no. Coley has been slated by the Pies for the last 2 seasons and they want him out. |
