Ashley Gibson - Solid but not spectacular...
If needed at Right Centre for the rest of the season he will do a solid job but that's it, He is the best candidate to finish the season in that role should anything happen to Lee Smith but i don't feel he has a future here personally and doesn't offer the team anything attacking wise...

Always thought Ratu was a better prospect than Gibson, but he appears to be even further down the pecking order.

Gibson was decent, but you only have to look at the performance of Donald so far this year to see that we are lacking a quality centre.

if Smith leaves then yes, if Smith stays then he'll be a strong reserve and i'd take him over Ablett all season long.

No true that was one game and you cannot keep harping back to days gone by. At some point he has to be judged on the here and now.

Someone at the Rhinos obviously thinks he is still going to be good enough and, on tonights evidence, I thought he did well and kept Watuira largely quiet.

How long did it take the like's of diskin,jjb and scruton to show their true worth again after major injuries and long lay off's??
Gibson deserve's at least till the end of the season before anyone write's him off or calls for him to be ditched.
As for donald is it really just because he's been switched from left to right and has a different centre partner that his form is sketchy???

Pity we cant magically combine Gibsons defence and reading of the game with Watkins attacking threat, step and offload ability.

Maybe GH is spending his money on working on a machine to do that instead of spending 100k on Gleeson
