Looking at some of those videos on a certain video site it's embarrassing they call themselves the Barmy Army. The atmosphere in the South Stand was 100 times better 10-15 years ago!

doubt it all you like it happened, even a few friends of mine who i invited to enjoy the hospitality at headingley even commented and asked why it was quiet!

fair enough, when your actually in the southstand the atmos seems good. but as i am in the southstand i wouldn't know what it was like from any other stand.

We all know Knowsley is the biggest sh*thole in the SL but I quite like it, the atmosphere is very ‘old skool’ and I don’t think I’ve seen many crap games there.

On the down side getting there on a Friday night is always tight, the facilities are poor and they have Nazi Parking Police (which is one of the reasons I didn’t go this year).

Let’s just hope their new stadium manages to capture some of the atmosphere that most new builds lose.

About St Helens itself? – Can’t say I’ve hung around long enough to have an informed opinion but from what I’ve seen I doubt I’d like to hang around long enough.

Thats probably cos its true though, ask people who've been going in any length of time, the atmosphere now isn't a patch on what it was. Maybe its me being nostalgic but IMO its been like that for a few years, one of the reasons we upgraded to Carnegie Stand when it opened. (That and its easier to use toilets and bar there!)
