| Wasn't At Home With The Braithwaites filmed in Leeds also? I seem to remember part of the first episode being filmed in City Square...

Does the No. 1 not run any more?
I remember catching a No. 1 after a post match pint one Sunday with Vinnie Fawcett. Seemed really odd that there he was a professional sportsman, resplendent in his tie and blazer, catching the bus.
It went down hill pretty quick for him though as within a year he was driving a sponsor's Lada with his name on the side. Poor sod.

Yes it was. In fact, I remember an outside broadcast unit being based in the South Stand car park. They didn't use the ground itself, but they were obviously in the vicinity.
Another one shot in and around Leeds was No Angels. They used the old hospital in Armley as the central location and the Duck and Drake as their "local", as well as various other locations throughout the city.
Oh, here's one, does anybody remember a really, really bad ITV soap, was on around tea time, where viewers could vote for next weeks plot line? I think they were lawyers and used the, then new, building at the top of the inner ring road near Park Lane college as their headquarters?

I watched the first series of that. Mainly because I fancied the nurses.

I watched all of the series, mainly because I fancied the nurses.
Kaye Wragg has now gone from playing a nurse to a WPC in The Bill, that woman knows how to pick roles What next for her I wonder?
Jo Joyner on the other hand, has become a down trodden mother of 3 in Britain's dreariest square.

I didn't know she was in the Bill.
I may have to start watching that. For the gripping storylines of course.
Jo Joyner was, unsurprisingly, my favourite.

'Star, do you want a car?'
They were your men. They'd take you to Beruit if you asked.

Some might say there was little difference.

My uncle worked in that factory on the right, Gilchrists Printers. they relocated to West Park when they sold the land to Yorkshire Bank.
The buses used to go down that street too, then turn right and drive through the Merrion Centre, through the bit that is now pedestrianised and come out down the ramp opposite where Yates' is now.
