Thought it might be Sezer as captain.
Don`t really see Handley as a motivator but the players clearly do.
If they were looking at someone who has been with the club for a while then maybe Cam Smith who does look to rally the troops a lot.

Excellent choice, our best player last year, really coming into his peak career form, and for next 3-4 years will be in top 2-3 hookers in league and possibly number 1 for England.

Preferable to Handley. Needs to be someone central. Would've gone for Sezer myself.

Yep agree. There's some positions where you wouldn't want to rush players into facing SL opposition but I suspect coming to terms with fitter defences and greater all round speed of play can't be anything other than beneficial to a hooker of genuine potential.

I don`t mind Handley on the wing.
Wasn`t he SL top try scorer a couple of years ago?
He did have plenty of pace but last season that was not as evident if I recall.

Handley never looked 100% to me last year bur that was only my impression. That said he made yards every week.

Agree with that and he will compliment Fusitua on the other wing imo.
Still think Smith would have been a better choice as VC

If Corey fulfils his undoubted potential then he will be the starting 9 without a doubt
