| Timing is strange - but that is what happens in a results driven business.
Difficult to defend the indefensible.
Surely if things don't improve at Leeds - McDermott will suffer the same fate - unless he has already agreed an exit at the end of the season?

| I wonder if they fancy a treble winning coach as a replacement?

| John Kear he seems to be everyone's Mr fix-it
I am sure they have someone lined up - let's hope its quick the thought of Andy Kelly in charge for any length of time is a scary one.

| I can't see them sacking Anderson without having some idea of potential replacements and even somebody lined up.

| Thank goodness the best run club in Super League aren't predisposed towards knee jerk responses and operate on a more circumspect and prudent basis instead.

| For both Huddersfield and Leeds relegation is a real prospect - Huddersfield need to avoid it at all costs. They looked like they were improving but that now looks like a blip.
The middle 8's looks like an interesting competition with some big guns who cannot afford relegation. I will be interested to see how London go - I think a SL club could realistically go this year.

The quality of the championship is awful. London aren't a good side last year Wakefield were an appalling side who and to panic last minute and they got through against a Bradford squad which was better.
This year leeds or Hudds with probably finish bottom. Both are comfortably better than Wakefield last year. They will go in to the middle 8s with Salford who are a decent side, and either HKR or Widnes who are better than last year where they comfortably walked through the middle 8s.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a clean sweep of SL wins.

But the SL clubs have to play each other so they will lose some and one of them will end up in the £1m game and then anything can happen. A team has an off day that day and anything is possible

| Just think how the club might have acted if the team was playing even worse, firmly rooted at the foot of the table with an embarrassing negative points difference, out of the CC and showing no signs of any upwards trajectory despite the return of their 'best' players (with their last two - far apart - barely scraped victories played in dreadfully levelling down conditions)? Oh and still firmly in contention for championship football next season.....

| Bit strange they've done it a week before a CC QF. Would you give him that game or hope a new guy might have a honeymoon period that sees them win that.

Leed and Huddersfield are much worse than any superleague side last year. Whether that effects against championship sides is debatable.

You clearly didn't see as much of Wakefield as we did then. Leeds and Huddersfield are far stronger this year than we were last year. I also feel the Championship clubs are now weaker.
I don't expect a SL club to be relegated but all it takes is a freak MPG.

Yep - look at the results Leigh have achieved - they weren't far off beating a full strength Leeds. Leeds were just a bit off that day and nearly came a cropper.

I won't argue against your statement. I'll just leave it there as evidence of what we all already knew about you.
