| Well done to the YEP Twitter account, who immediately after Peter Smith said there was an announcement under embargo last night went and put it in their "Tomorrow's Headlines" tweet
Good news, I'm sure he would have had no shortage of options had he decided to look elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point the RFU were sniffing around though. His game is ideally suited to playing 15 in Union - safe under the high ball, elusive and strong in broken field, siege gun for a boot out of hand. The areas of his game that aren't so strong wouldn't be as exposed in the 15-man code.

| Hall,Briscoe and Hardaker all signed to long term deals.Just need Watkins to sign on now and our back line is looking mighty fine for years to come.
Edit: sorry, just looking at Frosties squad page and says Watkins is tied up until 2019 so we will have the best three quarter line in the league for at least the next 4/5 years.Happy days

I was watching that Warrington game last night. The Wire pack were simply outstanding, absolutely brilliant. But the Wire backs are god damn awful, very poor. Would be disappointed to have that lot at Leeds.

Agreed.
Could say exactly the same about Saints too and Wigan to some extent.Any of those 3 sides with our backline would romp away with the SL title.

| To be fair, Wigan have a very good backline.
Bowne/Hampshire
Charnley/Manfredi
Gelling
Sarginson
Burgess
Their problem is their props are all 'defensive' props that lack go forward, and their play makers don't have enough gile to compensate for the lack of space that the forwards aren't creating.

I bet Wigan dont play that bad next week - they look so one dimensional especially in attack

Yep, you'd expect a response from them, but they've been that bad for a few weeks apparently. They made 35 errors against Salford.

On their own patch, against the league leaders and big rivals you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a big performance from them. remember they got battered in france the week before magic weekend.
Over the last few years it seems like the players / amdin think of it as a bigger game than the saints match

| Williams was anonymous last night, unlike when they played us.
& the Wire pack was without 2 of their best young players last night, Currie & Laithwaite.
How poor was Tautai & how much difference did Dwyer make when he he came on?

Dwyer is bloody ace. And Myler would fit right in at Leeds in the post-Sir Kev era.
