| As pleasing as anything tonight, was that for the second consecutive game at HQ in the league we have nilled our opposition, and we can take plenty of confidence from that, and with another decent win at Quins next week hopefully, we will go into the final, with form and momentum on our side, and when you're preparing to face Wigan that's all you can hope for.
But hey, who knows, it's Wembley, it's a Cup Final, and even superb side like Wigan can have an off day on the biggest of stages.
(as we well know from last year!)

in SL have we ever done that before?
i reckon we have a real chance in 2 weeks time. you listen to fans of other teams and they call us a team thats learnt to perform on the day. (hence our 3 in a row, or is that just jealousy?) but write us off are your peril......for both CC and GF.

I think that was our strongest line up last night and i'm pretty certain BM feels the same way. I wouldn't be to surprised to see Sinfield & Buderus rested next week, or depending on the score playing less minutes than usual. I'd definately keep Ali & McGuire in there, we need those two to be fully fit and in McGuire's case in particular he needs to build his confidence if possible to the levels of last year.
When McGuire is on form and confident he's a danger every time he touches the ball which is why many, me included think his best position is scrum half.

You mean the one where Phil Ford boots the ball towards the Wigan line in an open field chase, but kicks it so hard it landed in Bolton, Mal Reilly turns to Norman Smith and says "what did he do that for" in the most comedic style I've ever seen from Reilly...
Ah great days....

Doug Laughton was the coach @ the time of this particular unexpected hammering.

45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| Remember we [ishould[/i have beaten them in both SL matches this season. We've fared much better against them than against Stains or Wire. Although rightful underdogs, bigger upsets have taken place at Wembley.
If we can generate some good form from now until the final then who knows...

We've got one game to go until the final.
We've had a decent mini run of wins but we've beaten team we normally beat anyway. We've kept the opposition scoreless 6 out of the last 10 halfs. That's the best thing about our ''form''. Because to give wigan a game our defence will have to be top notch.
I think we'll give a decent account of ourselves but i can't see anything other than a wigan win by about 10 points.

I think Delaney will be back in the side for Wembley, he was injured last night but B Mac favours Delaney over Ali IMO. It's a tough call to drop anyone after that performance but i think we need Ali in the final, he's a gamebreaker one his day but i do think Delaney will be playing instead of someone, hopefully Kirke but i doubt it.
