Perhaps the solid, no nonsense 32 year old will also set a precedent for reneging on a two-year contract?
We live in hope.

| If the injury-prone 32 year old scores a try for Leeds, that'll be one more than he managed in the NRL.
On the bright side, the two hooker rotation policy installed in order to accommodate a player testimonial can now be quietly shelved.

Has anyone ever signed a prop forward for his try scoring record?

If they did, I can only think of Sorensen and Howard who would fit that bill.

| Colin Forsyth had a good fairly good try scoring record from what I can recall.

| I don't see the problem. Clearly the club and players have an understanding that if a better offer comes in then they have the opportunity to come take it. Scotty was a loss, but as much as Disko has put in years of good service he's had his day and obviously didn't want to spend another season playing second fiddle to Budsy.
It's freeing up room for Leeds in the salary cap as well, wouldn't be surprised to see another few stop-gap signings (like Cross) to bear the burden for the next season or two while we develop the likes of Watkins, McShane, Ambler, BJB, Amor and now Hardaker.

| I'm not sure Donald fancied another season of being run down by prop forwards. His major asset was pace and that was on the slide leaving him with not a lot else in the armoury.

| If I was in the last year of my contract I'd be looking for another job - whether it be in the australian police or the bradford front row.

I agree and wouldn't be in the least surprised to see further one-year contract extensions reneged upon, now that several precedents have been set.
Hetherington's much vaunted ensemble of loyal, special, world class players who absolutely love the club and are striving for success without thinking about the financial aspects are now reneging in droves.
The Headingley spin machine needs oiling again, though as the saying goes... in trying times, it's the squeaky wheels which get the @rse, not the grease

Paul Dixon once scored 4 tries at Odsal, playing prop.

The first thing I thought of when I heard of Bluey’s departure or more to the point his replacement was ‘oh dear’. The second thought was “I wonder how long it would take Keith to resurrect this thread.”
