| At the time, probably the former. In hindsight, probably the latter. I really enjoyed watching us in 2005 but will look back with fonder memories of 2007, 2008 and 2009 when we didn't play as well as often but ultimately won the prize.

| I prefer it when we take it down to the wire (no pun intended) - the possibility of losing or thought of having to mount a come back makes a game much more exciting than an attractive walk-over.

| I couldn't troll on other boards if we just played attractive rugby.
I need some silverware in reserve.

| Winning everytime and we have still had some quality performances in the last 3 years maybe not as many to the standard of 04 and 05 but that's as much about the opposition as it us.

| I saw lots of attractive rugby in my first dozen or so years of watching Leeds but no trophies.
I've much preferred seeing Leeds be successful, not that we haven't played some fantastic rugby in so doing.

| I prefer ... Blonde , big t!ts , and cold beer .
Regarding rugby . I like to see my team win .
Pretty ain't always good , neither is a walk-over .Back end of last season I was witness to some awesome play . Hammering everything that stood in our way . It got so bad that we were even cheering the opposition when they scored . It was fun foprus , but heart-breaking for opposition fans . I'd rather see us win comfortably by 13 than by 70 ( depending on who the opposing team are obviously )
The win is important . A good loser is still a loser .

| Simple. If you're winning you're playing " attractive " rugby.
If you can get a combination of fast flowing threequarter usage and winning that's a bonus.

Leeds to play fantastic attractive rugby and go unbeaten in the league but then not make the grand final.
Leeds to play boring, unattractive rugby, having a number of indifferent performances, losing quite a few games but ultimately making the GF and winning it.'"
The first option. But by that I mean the way Leeds played in 2005 style rugby. If it's the way Wigan have played then forget it.
The second option makes an mockery of the play off system, a play off system which I personally am a big fan of.

| Option 2, would much rather see a close game...
I’m a big fan of uncertainty - almost being able to predict the result week-in week-out is nowhere near as exciting as being unsure! The roller-coaster of a season we are having has been a cracker whatever happens come the end!
Warrington at home in 2009 and then Hudd’s at home in 2010 are priceless - just a couple of examples that makes season tickets worth every penny!
The second option certainly gives us plenty of talking points anyway - the defeat to Crusaders was a shocker, and then afterwards a well earned win and Warrington - the joys of sport.

I seem to be out of step here but I would much prefer the former. As a rugby fan first and foremost its the quality of play and skills on show that count. I have vivid memories of fantastic individual tries over many years and it is the entertainment that counts. Your question stated to "play fantastic rugby and go unbeaten in the league and then not make the grand final" So for me I would get my fix of rugby and winning because we would only lose one or two games at the most. The alternative to win the GF but at the expense of all I hold dear in quality rugby and still lose several games is not worth it. Just so you can boast about being champions - thats not being a rugby fan - its being a silverware fan.
