| I was too young to see him play and mores the pity, i was weaned on stories of his triumphs and battles and like many people have said he truly was a giant in the whole of the RL family. Fantastic article too.

My only slight criticism would be "as he engineered a record-breaking last minute comeback for the Loiners."
The last minute of that game will be remembered more for another player recently sadly passed (Derek Noonan) dropping the ball with the line at his mercy. There was cover defence in the corner but Noonan ended up over the line only without the ball. |
