| Quote: Simmo71 "No, I didn’t expect us to win.
And it doesn’t bother me that we lost.
It’s the lack of shape and organisation that is the problem.
We know the team during the week, so what are they working on?
Other, so called weaker teams in the comp look so much more organised and disciplined than we do. But they don’t have the same level of quality.
Watching the highlights, the shape of our back line was really poor again.
We can’t blame that on the injuries.'" Lack of shape is no surprise when you lose one of your halves late and replace him with a hooker. Apparently we have now used 7 players in the halves this season.Gale is back next week so the movement of players should improve.

| Quote: doc-rhino "bankruptcy hence the need for book balancing but we regularly signed quality harris, elis, peacock , webb , buderus and now giving to contracts to average and playing average'"
Regards Buderus and Webb in 2009 our salary cap was £1.8m and the NRL salary cap was AUD$4.1m. The exchange rate was circa £1 = AUD$2.1 so there wasn't much difference in the salary caps and the exchange rate was in favour of Aussie players over here.
Fast forward to 2021 and our salary cap is £2.1m compared to AUD$9.9m and an exchange rate circa £1 = AUD$1.8.
Marquee rule aside Super League just isn't an attractive prospect for top Aussie players any more.
As for the high profile British signings remember that Hetherington managed to persuade players to accept low contracts with the promise of a testimonial down the line for 10 years service. These days testimonials seem to be awarded without any particular loyalty to one club so Hetherington's trump card is less effective and presumably the salary cap is spread more evenly across the squad.

Except for their 1st try when he never moved when a Hudds player was between him and Sezer. He couldve easy got us an obstruction penalty by moving into the Hudds player. He is very raw.

| A desperate plug of an overseas spot who though has some physicality will no doubt be a project signing to go the way of many others.

If that's the case he can move on at the end of the season. Still think it was worth a punt., given Ava's exit.

He may turn out to be a poor signing but he has played 2 games ( excluding his short appearance before injury at Saints )and was probably our best player in one of them at HKR. Give him a chance before writing him off.

| Quote: Simmo71 "Unfortunately this is a results business.
Results and performances are not good enough at the moment.
And like I say, despite the injuries, we are looking like a team that are not being coached.
Agar might be a nice bloke, but that means nothing if you finish in the bottom4.
Check out what Hull and Wakey think of Agar.
They definitely think he’s out of his depth.
You bang on about 10 injuries.
We realistically had 5 starters missing. Hudds had 4 missing and they’re not crying about an injury crisis.
All clubs have to be able to cope with injuries.
We have decent players who look like they don’t know what to do.
That’s about the coaching.
I’m not calling for his head now like some.
But if we finish bottom 4 in a relegation battle would you seriously be happy if he stays as head coach next year?'"
Good players in key settled positions (spine) is the only way to get structure. Everyone will look alot better when we get some halves back....

There should be cap space and quota spots available to address those u

We are too reliant on Luke Gale.'"
You say we are too reliant on Luke Gale , yet he has not exactly set the world on fire since he arrived

Gale has been excellent. I wish we had signed him day Sinfield left. We was in desperate need of someone like him from that day.
