Not been massively impressed myself but it would be good to see him in a decent team behind a decent pack.hard to judge him when he's playing in a team we know was going to get thumped.

He needs to be given a chance in the halves if either Gale or Lui are injured or out of form. I'd hate to see us move either Myler or Sutcliffe their without McLelland getting a shot at it.

He needs to improve his conditioning, he looks to have speed, but also looks like he's carrying too much timber

Can’t see McClelland ever making it at Leeds. Shame as I thought we had a great prospect on our hands when we signed him but he has not really kicked on. I hope this year will be his breakthrough year but I just don’t think it will be. Like most I think a top quality No 6 with pace and flare is our priority for 2022.

I agree, bur this year I would like to see the likes McLelland, Walters and Broadbent get a chance when the 1st teamers in their positions get injured. We need to find out about these kids and without dual registration they won't progress otherwise. The benchmark teams, Wigan and Saints, show faith in their young talent and we need to do the same before dismissing them as not up to it.

How many times has he played in a decent leeds team?

McLelland could do with 6 weeks in the first team to give him a proper opportunity. Its difficult when he plays once a month in the reserves side.
