| I think Arthur will start with Handley at centre, reckon he will want 4 ball carriers from 2-5, Connor can put pressure on them all and Frawley for the 7 shirt.
Our kicking both at goal and general play looks like a question mark next year.
Hope young Sinfield is watching what Harry smith did in both the semi and GF

Kicking at goal is a huge concern for me. Connor would be the natural choice but he has to be on the field.

| I’d say the next cycle of recruitment will include a Centre, a Halfback, a Prop and a Backrower. We should have 2 quota spots to play with.

Yeah lisone and frawley should create two spots. I would hope that we can produce a centre from what we have and not need to recruit outside (we need home grown players for cap dispensation allowing us to spend bigger on outside recruits). A prop, overseas half back and a back rower. We should be looking at that now and signing the highest quality we can in those positions. Hopefully we can keep Arthur a few years and he can see a route to winning the comp in 2-3 years and wants to do that before he heads home.

This might be a bit controversial, but I think raiding the NRL for a half back is a futile quest. Given the huge difference in respective salary caps good ones either don't want to come, or are injured/well past their best. You then end up with Frawley type players on inflated wages. I'd rather give Connor a go and get Sinfield out on loan and give him the game time he needs to develop. We'll get far more bang for our buck targetting 2nd row and prop in the overseas market.

I’m not sure Sinfield will make it in Super League if he cannot get in the side in next 12 months then doubt he ever will. The a younger McCormack looks like he could be the better option coming through.

He's just turned 20, RT. He's been a let down by a reserves system that only allows him to play every other week against kids. When he does get to play for the 1st team it's generally been in a decimated side behind a undersized pack. This year, I'd let Connor and Frawley fight it out in the halves (I'd start with Connor) and find Sinfield a championship club on a season long loan where he can play every week. At the end of that time we can make a proper judgement on him. I think that's a sensible strategic approach.

I don’t disagree with your comments, I think playing week in week in championship but being able to recall into first team should it be required can only be a good thing, make or break year though, if by then end if the year he’s not taken or ready to take Frawleys place for 2026 then its time to mice on
I just don’t think he looks anywhere near a Leeds std player I just don’t think he has “it”

| Sinfield looks like he's more of an organiser type potentially. That is likely to work far better with the sort of team Arthur is building than under Smith, as we'll see a much more structured gameplan next season.
I'm dubious about Sinfield's potential as well but developing half backs is the hardest thing to do. He desperately needs a run of games so everyone - including Jack himself - can see whether he can make it. There's very little point from a development point of view in him playing five sporadic games for us next year when someone is injured. It really is getting to make or break time for him.

| Also playing next to Croft, with a decent sized pack moving forwards and some strike out wide should make him look better. Sinfield and Croft could work on style, sinfield and Frawley is a horrible mix.
Harry smith is the type of model Sinfield should be looking at. Kick, kick and kick, pick the right pass most the time and half decent in defence.

With regards to how clubs handle players transfers, either when they come to re signing current players or choosing not to renew their contracts, as they have had a far higher offer from elsewhere
I have just watched the James Graham bye round with the Penrith Panthers CEO which is a brilliant watch

| I’m about 40 mins in on that at the moment, agree it’s fantastic. Just shows how far off we had slipped before IB arrived.

| So, are Leeds done for new signings now with Sivo finally confirmed?
While none of the incoming players are likely to be cheap, it seems that we've had a lot more get cut from the squad. I guess the quota is full so we'll be confined to British and French players.
Looking at the squad, we're a bit thin at centre with only Connor and Newman in that position. I can still remember Handley at centre and full-back and would rather he just played on the wing, but maybe he's okay as back-up. I guess there's Simpson too...
We're looking better up front but second row is hardly thrilling with Martin gone, and there's a lot less depth than before. I'm not sure we can expect too much from Gannon until he's got a string of games under his belt again. Bentley and McDonnell aren't a top 4 pairing IMO.
