Fair point.
One factor that may be against it is the travel. Assuming Sinfield stays living in Oldham, it’s probably a good 2 hour 15 minute drive each way. That’s a long haul 5 days a week plus possibly away travel at weekends. Of course he may not need to do that if he is set to replace Borthwick, who knows.
He has never seemed keen on coaching. Maybe he needs a new challenge.
If it happens would that mean Agar to DoR and Long as head coach?

Leicester have always seen themselves as the biggest club in England, Sinfield is without doubt the biggest name in League from a RU viewpoint and should he move to Leicester it would be a very clear statement that they are wanting to be no.1 again. They have some good young players coming through and Borthwick knows what he's doing. I'm just not sure what Sinfield would do? I would not be surprised to see him coaching directly rather than any admin/DOR role.
Let's be honest, it's getting to the point where RL is more like a vocation in Britain. There's waaayyyy more money in RU, bigger player squads, more internationals, a massive and competitive WC, The Lions, and an international media profile. Do you want to run a corner shop or do you want to run Tesco's? Corner shop might be fun for a while but......

| it would be a bigger blow what I have read about his sons rugby talent if Sinfield took him with him to Leicester like Ford and Farrell did when they moved to Rugby union

This continual desire to put down Rugby League because it's not rugby union perplexes me. Rugby League stands on its own merits, it's always been a smaller sport and, yes, sometimes union will have more money.
But hating on Rugby League simply for being Rugby League, with its essential characteristics, seems a strange position to take.

Wonder if it could be a part time role at Leicester and he could combine the 2? Can’t imagine a DoR needs to be there every second of the day once structure is in place and the likes of GH and Agar at the club as experienced campaigners.

| It's may be coincidence but I note there hasn't been anything in any of the club's press releases which mention Sinfield since the departure of Eastmond, so coming up to a month now.
It would be a very poor time for Sinfield to be trying to leave, right in the middle of the recruitment season for next year. Any time other than May/June/July would be better but right now, if true, it's very unhelpful for 2022 planning.
Overall though I stand by the point that, in this role, Sinfield would not be a particularly catastrophic loss.

| Who better to sell Leeds Rhinos to potential new signings/sponsors/investors than Mr Leeds Rhinos himself?
There is no bigger name than Kev. He is perfect for the club.

It would depend on when he actually goes - it might just be an agreement to join Leicester after season end or something, who knows.
I haven't personally agreed with a few of our recruitment decisions under Kev/Agar, but I do think the club in general is looking much more like it now and they've done a great job turning it all around and pointing in the right direction.
In terms of future successes, well it's partly good management of course but there's some luck in there too. When the Goldens came through we just happened to have a wave of close-to-international-class players develop at the same time. We might be seeing something similar now or we might not - but the availability of the raw talent is never in the club's control. It can only work with what it can find.
I really don't know enough about it other than that but I hope Kev stays with the club in some capacity. I have no doubt there will be personalities in the background: the Kev/Agar/Hetherington mix. Strong opinions in there and it's never easy to blend.

| Think Kev would make a damn good Chief Exec at Leeds.. it'd be a big blow to lose him out of the organisation.
