| Quote Ferdy="Ferdy"Cannot realistically see Salford going down, but it would be nice'"
It's not likely to happen but why would it be nice?
A traditional RL heartland club with an ambition to rival the likes of Huddersfield, Leeds, St Helens, Warrington and Wigan. More competition is what we need if we are to succeed going forward.
They are still a relatively new team (and now have a new coach at the helm) but come the season end I think we'll see a competitive team capable of upsetting a team or two and one I'd still be backing to make the play-offs at this stage.

If Harris doesn't swing things round quickly, I wouldn't be surprised if Dr Corner-Cutter implements a third new head coach of the season.
I don't think they'll get dragged into the relegation battle, but also think they'll miss the playoffs. So a dull no-mans land, which in reality is probably a good position for the 2013 wooden spooners and with the 2 drops this year. But that won't be enough to satisfy the Doc!

Yep wouldn't be surprised to see a new coach in charge by the time 2015 kicks off. At best Harris might get the full remainder of the season before getting the bullet. Think the Doc will then try get an Aussie coach over.

He has an Aussie coach arriving this week to advise Harris.

| I am not a fan of Dr Khoukhash's methods and posturing, but if he turns Salford into a strong club that's good for the league. I don't want to see Super League lose one of its better resourced teams.
On them making the play-offs, I haven't changed my view that they'll be one of about 5 teams contesting the last 3 play-off spots. Along with both Hull teams, Catalan and Wire. I think it needs an attitude adjustment to get them above 3 of those teams. Could even be 6 if Widnes don't fade away. But I think they will.

| Clarify "strong club"?
Is a club which throws cash at mediocre players, constantly sacks its coach and plays in a quarter-full stadium a "strong club", simply because of the size of the owner's chequebook?
Koukash has no interest in putting the pillars in place to enable Salford to be self-sustaining. He's a quick-fix, instant glory merchant and it will all end in tears - more for Salford and their fans than for him.

| There's a bit of an assumption over which way round that goes though isn't there.
It's certainly possible that it will be far easier for Salford to attract quality youngsters, coaches and fans with a winning side.
It's sometimes easy to forget, as a Leeds fan, that though we are in a position now to expect to expect to not only win, but with a sustainable and local squad, it wasn't always the case.
We splashed big money on players like Harris, and had no problem adding Ellis, Ali, Bai, Buderus and JP.

| One of the first things Caddick and Hetherington did on assuming control was entirely revamp the youth and scouting systems at the club, into arguably one of the best in the northern hemisphere.
One of the first things Koukash did was try to get the salary cap removed and promise to sign Sonny Bill Williams.

| I thought Noble made some poor signings, but at least Salfords recent signings look good Locke and BJB, but they need more power in the forwards to mount a challenge. Morley is past his best and Hock is liability.
As for Northern, what do they bring to Super League, gates of 5000 a team thats get thrashed nearly every week and living on loan players. Halifax, Fev or Leigh at present offer more. If you wrote as a soap opera the story of Leeds United or Bradford Northern nobody would believe you. Which of them has been run the worst.

| I'd take a further 4 points off Northern for wasting a Hearing.
Its a cheek. They will be asking to take past Trophy records into consideration next
