| You would have to assume that Leeds dual reg deal with hunslet gives them some sort of influence over the club. How strong that influence is is anybody's guess but you can be sure that GH will play up that influence and Hunslet leaders will play down that influence to support their own positions with their fans.
As I understand it, there is a limit on the number of dual reg players that a club can have, this may be a way of getting some flexibility into that arrangement.

Right now, probably.
Potentially, no.
I like Sunley. He's got some ability about him, but he's also got a really good competitive attitude.
Seth will know better than me, but I wonder if he's ever considering stepping into the half backs?

| I agree AG Sunley also brings some real leadership from the FB position aswell but it may be just unfortunate timing for the player given the age of the lads in front of him unless we lose 1 or 2 or ZH moves position again.

I guess it's just a case of moving the squad on. I have only seen sunley at a few games but he looks a to have something about him.
With hardaker improving by the game it will take something special to dislodge him, that said if nrl teams are looking at hall and Watkins you would expect Zak to be on there list too.

| IF Zak went to the NRL would Leeds call Watson back, try an untested Sunley or go into the market for someone else? I really don't know the answer to that.
Sunley has to leave the u19s this year and I heard he doesnt want D/R at Hunslet. But if that rumour is untrue then to get a chance he has to dislodge Watson from F/B at Hunslet. And if Hunslet have just signed him i doubt Sunley will get a look in unless theres injuries.
He is in a position with Watson as Watson is with Zak.
Doing the Math, I think Sunley will have to leave, especially as I am not hearing is name as much as others in the U19s anymore. Was his demands to high for Leeds and he has been over looked? That wouldn't surprise me, but to be fair, I'm only guessing.

| From what I've see young Morgan has more potential than both Watson and Sunley.

| Proof of that pudding will be if they ever play in the Championship or S/L against grown ups.
Even I could look good in a team that wins week in week out.

I like Morgan but imo he's not as good as Sunley OR Watson in attack and hasn't got the leadership Sunley shows either.
He's a very good goal kicker ,safe under the bomb etc etc but i haven't seen anything YET to suggest he's actually a better FB than the two mentioned.

| A further fly in the ointment could be Nick Rawsthorne, if he decides he wants to give league a crack rather than stay at Carnegie.
Tidy by all accounts at Featherstone last week, decent goalkicker too.

He's a union player, and staying with union, on loan.
Along with the other loanees from Carnegie, they should not be anywhere near our under 19's. It is a cheap way of getting them game time and new skills. It is not for the benefit of Leeds Rhinos, which is exactly what that under 19's should be for.

Not sure abour cheaper, I bet the younder Union lads at Leeds are earning more than our first team youngsters....Union is by far overall better paid, certainly as you drop down the leagues

Really? I'd have said the greatest difference was at Premiership/SL level, then evening out as you drop down the leagues.

The championship in Union is still a decent earner for younger players coming up, especially as the attraction to lower French divisions offer some attractive offers also....it comes down to the larger pocket of money given out by the RFU at this level and the very REAL expectation of being promoted into the premiership versus the current RL structure. I am not saying that the top players could double their salaries but the young ones if attractive to Union clubs in the Champioship push could look at better wages. Ashton is a example, he spent the first year playing in the Championship for Northhampton on triple Wigan's offer to keep him.....extreme example but there is a handful of Champioship clubs in Union that have a strong backing (more so than featherston, Halifax, Leigh and Sheffield etc) including Leeds Carnegie....although with GH on that board also then he may squeeze the youngsters more than others
What we tend to see in RL is older SL dropping to Championship clubs on a nice second wage versus the youngsters soming up to possible SL contracts.
James Lowes heading to Carnegie could pull across some Rhinos academy lads also
Anyway back to the RL and a strong Leeds outing by our youngsters Sunday.
