| Quote: tad rhino "why when i went in to get my seat for the manley game i was told it had been sold. i pointed out i had renewed weeks back and i should get first chance of buying it.
they said it was an RFL event not a rhinos event so tough.
i spoke to rogues, our resident wigan fan, who tells me they had weeks to book there own seat last year before they went on sale, RFL event or not.
i'll now watch on sky in the warm.
well done leeds on looking after your loyal supporters'"
They might have thought you have lost that much weight you might fall down crack between chairs Yes Yes something that wont happen to me

Looks like someone else was more eager and got in early to secure good seats.
Good for them.

Leeds are playing in a RFL event. It is only at Headingley because, logistically, nowhere else was available. I don't see the big deal.
You have a choice, which you have made, to watch at the pub and, TBH, I reckon it's worked out quite well because these days I am coming round to the view that the pub or the settee is by far the best place to watch the game from.

| Will you be expecting to have first dibs on your seat for the 2013 World Cup quarter final tad?
If not, I'm struggling to see what the difference is.

why not. It just like any other RFL event, where they look after the tickets. If Hudds played at a semi at the Galpharm would you expect them to get their season ticket seats?
If the RFL have reserved the seats for some reason (corporate, WAGs etc) then some people are going to miss out, unless they start locating the tickets in random places which would be a nightmare to organise, and wouldn't exactly promote the permium product they are probably trying to sell at inflated values.
The whole reason you're upset about losing the seats is the same reason tey are likely to have been not available for you, and that is because they are good seats, and will give the guests the best possible view of the game.

| Wigan did it last year. Perhaps they realise the value of looking after the season ticket holders more than leeds do.

Maybe, but maybe as has been said above, they have many more seated areas, and a couple of areas which are not usually allocated to specific individuals.
Also, do you know that all Wigan season ticket holders were able to sit in their own seat? Or just the ones who have said they could, much like some of the fans on this page who have said they have been able to access their seat for this game?

| I called into the club last Friday to renew my season ticket a week earlier than I planned so that I could get my Carnegie stand seat for the WCC.
Like Tad I was told that my seats had been sold so I just bought 2 a row or so further up the stand. No real issue, I'd have preferred mine but I knew the "rules".
At least I know I've got proper legroom. I wouldn't have bothered had the game been at Elland Rd. I'm not paying those prices to be totally squashed in & uncomfortable for the entire game.
PS anyone can have my seats for the Boxing Day game since I'll be away in (hopefully) sunny, southern California.

Wigan could because they have a 25,000 all-seater stadium. Leeds couldn't because they don't.
Can't help but think you are moaning for moaning's sake here mate.

Just playing Warnick's / Devil's Advocaat here .... having gone to the trouble of ensuring that season-ticket holders get first dibs, you'd have thought it would be very simple to give said season-ticket holders their usual seats, like HQ do every year when accepting season-ticket renewals.
But, hey-ho, it's only at times like this that I get to see HQ from another angle.
I'm treating it as an adventure, I just hope I don't get lost.
Assuming that my social secretary (aka wife) has actually done the booking by now, that is.
Can't get the staff these days.

| Considering it's an RFL organised game I think giving season ticket holders first dibs on tickets is a privilege and i'm happy with that. It doesn't really bother me where I watch it from so got to say no complaints from me. As long as a big fat barsteward doesn't soil my seat, break it or carve his initials into it he can keep it warm for one game. I'll slum it with the peasants in the South Stand for this particular game, i'd get too carried away in the seats anyway at a game of this importance.
