A lot of players grab for the shirt and the collar, Sean Long's hair goes below that. Grab one you get the other. Is that the defenders fault because Sean Long has hair like a rasta?
There was NO direct grab for the hair, the Leeds player (Lauititi? not sure?) grabbed for the shirt and was UNLUCKY to get some hair. There was nothing in it at all.

I actually enjoy games like that but to fair, I've walked off rugby pitches without shaking hands if I think players have tried to injure me.
Worse example of a chicken wing I've seen all year.
Lee Smith will be a loss to RL, ignore the Gilly nonsense, he's a class act. And Senior's pop I don't have too much of a problem with. A punch is a punch, meh. But the chicken wing just grates with me.
Thought Webb was quite quiet - not really hitting the heights this year?

| If Wilkin and Senior shook hands within minutes of all the Argy-Bargy, then honestly, the ginger nut has no excuse.

not to defend JJB, as it doesnt look great on tele, but do you and others believe defenders (not just JJB) purposefully get into a chicken wing position or is it just that SOMETIMES it ends up that way due to the angle of collision, the way that the attacker falls and the fact that the defenders are trying to turn the man in the tackle.....
Just wondered what peoples thoughts are. I wouldnt like to think that defenders purposefully go out to chicken wing the oppositon.....

I have no doubt whatsoever JJB knew what he was doing - he was forcing his arm back. If you look at it rationally, I think you'd agree.

| And following the Sky Commentary...
"30 seconds later, he throws an inch perfect long pass".
<sarcasm>Yes, he really was badly injured and hurt by that Chicken Wing</sarcasm>
Yes it probably hurt, but forget Man of Steel, he's in the pot for a Bafta this year instead.

so its not at all possible that whilst he was trying to roll Graham onto his back whilst clamping the ball, and Graham was trying to roll onto his front to get a quick PTB that it turned into a chicken wing completely inadvertantely?

What?
Don't be ridiculous.
It was planned to every last detail by JJb for the last few months.
He had schematics drawn up at his house with a leading scientist calculating precise angles of collision, velocity and timing.
It's been planned for months.

| Sorry, but I've had the same treatment. If it was bad as he made out, there is no way on earth that he would be capable of using his arm to that degree.

Of course it's possible, but I don't think even you believe that's what happened.
