He is such a naturally gifted and talented player but also one who has sadly not consistently hit the heights that he is capable of.

He has stated that he wants to be a regular starting 6 but has never had a good long run in that role at Hull FC.

IMO full back is his best position at present but he has also played internationally in the centre position

He's a bit of a maverick and also a marmite type of character, But so was Garry Schofield
If we could get his head sorted out and also a settled position to play in then there's one hell of a player there.

Nick Staveley, a lad from Stanningley who went to Warrington on Scholarship, has left them, he's in the same age group as Edwards and Gannon and right up there with them in ability. Rules mean he has to wait a while to join another club, realy hope we can get him into our system, brilliant young player and a Leeds lad.

He clearly has ability, but he's too rocks and diamonds for me.

He doesn't hold a candle to the great standoffs of the SL era, including our own great Danny Mags. Plus, I'm sure we'd have to pay him far more than we ever paid any of the goldens!

We have no cover in the centres and yes i haven't forgotten about L.Sutcliffe. Lets not forget the guy essentially ditched us for Cas and came back with his tails between his legs when that collapsed.

Also FB/SO/SH - have little cover and if one of Lui/Walker/Myler or Gale are injured, we're short. McClelland hasn't shown anything of what was expected of him and clearly isn't Super League standard.

Connor would fit in at FB/C/SO and arguably SH or LF.

I don't care if he's a Richardhead. So are Tomkins and Hardaker and both have been pretty successful.

Connor would be a good signing especially on a cut down price last year of contract but as i said earlier i doubt we would have enough space.I also said i think he would work well with Gale.I disagree about centre cover Suttcliffe played well there last season and i fully understand his reasons for possibly leaving for Cas.We also have Broadbent who many who have watched the Academy feel Broadbent just needs to be given his chance.I would love to see Connor at Leeds but i think we will have to wait next season to have a chance providing he doesn't extend his current Hull deal.I would think if he hasn't extended his contract by May there is a good chance he's not going to.
