With Wigan signing Sammut then where does this leave Powell,Leuluai,Williams,Escare,Woods,Shorrocks & Smithies ?
That seems like a squad top heavy on half backs IMO

Looks like the Ikahihifo transfer is off now. What is going on? Surely we have to sign another Prop, naming Cuthbertson at 8 is ridiculous. We desperately need a bruising prop.

We couldnt get the player(s) that we wanted to offload to agree to move to Huddersfield as part of the deal and Giants got fed up of waiting so organised a swap with Cas instead for Wardle.

Without a prop I think best is 5th place and likely an early exit in the play offs.
Our starting 17 looks ok but if we lose a few forwards with long term injuries it will be another horrible season.

Tbh, if any team loses a few forwards they will struggle, there just isn't the quality in depth in SL squads. Also, if we offload three forwards (mullally, Walters, ormy) to bring on one that actually makes dealing with an injury crisis even more difficult.

We need to stop holding up injuries as a potential reason we won't do well.

I agree that we need another quality prop if not two. We then need to rotate and use the subs bench well to help keep players fit and also get a slice of luck that every team needs.

Plenty of young props in our academy to step up should we need them. Get rid of Mullally, Walters, Ormonroyd etc, sign a quality prop + then should injuries occur - give youth a chance

That is the problem though isn't it, you cannot just force players to go, unless a club is willing to take them, then we are stuck with them until they are either out of contract or they agree to go to another club.

so who gave Walters a new deal months ago?
