If the rebuilding had started in 2016 we wouldn't be doing so bad now.
Instead we have spent two years holding on to players that are too old,knackered or poor for no reason.

Now we have to change a lot of players in very little time,if we can't then we will be stuck on playing squad for another year or two which wont help

Indeed. He did mention "experience beating everything" so possibly felt that those were the best fit to get the job done but looking forward knows they arent good enough so wants to ship them out.

Maybe he knows Smith is a keeper, so was given those two (and others) a chance to show their worth, and has now decided they are not.

Having looked at how they all performed in the 8`s he`s probably scratching his head who he can play in a 7 a side tournament.

Risky strategy if so. Surely common sense says you play the players you think can get the job done. High risk to ask them to prove themselves in games like that. What happens if they don't?

I am surprised no announcements as yet, now that season tickets are on sale i would have thought a few names would have been announced, because after the way the season ended (poorly) it would be prudent to raise expectations.

Plenty leaving, only Mclelland and Lolohea coming in, and only Lolohea for the first team. Must be plent more coming in if we are still looking to shift Mullally, Walters, Ormandroyd and the unfortunate Golding.

Galloway was supposed to replace JP. He was nowhere near that standard - IMO another example of GH not knowing the NRL at all well despite his regular jaunts to Oz. Oledzki isn't even 'Galloway good' yet, and should be used more sparingly next year.
