Quote: Tony Soprano "I wont be surprised if Bailey doesn't get sent off tomorrow.'"

It wouldn't surprise me if you were or weren't surprised about Bailey getting sent off or not getting sent off tomorrow.

FWIW, it's a bizarre statement to make if you look at the length of Bailey's career and the amount of times he's been sent off.

On an unrelated note I would send JJB after Brough all day long, get right in his face on every single kick even if that means conceding the odd penalty or two.

As Bailey has been sent off in 50% of his most recent two appearances I can fully understand the concern/confusion that is causing some posters on here.

When you consider that he has just come back from a four game ban for two seperate offences, which I thought was harsh. Then his first game back he was quite lucky to get away with challenges that were the equal of those banning offences. It is not that bizarre.

What his career record shows is irrelevant, as I was referring to this period of time. And at this period of time he is a walking time bomb, and IMO an easy target for some referees.

Could be further chaos if/when Bailey is sent off. He might have to evict a season-ticket waving hudds fan just to get a seat in the stand.

They should be very aware he sits where he wants.

Either past games are relevant when you consider Bailey's displine or they are not.

If they are not, the Catalan and Bradford game are irrelevant.

Sure, your right. Games from 8 to 10 years ago are as relevant as the last two games he played.

Will it alleviate their concern/confusion if they think of Bailey as having been sent off in 1 of Leeds last 6 games, 17% if you round up? Or having been sent off in 1 of 12 Leeds games this year, 8%?

Or would it be best if they forgot statistics (they can be twisted can't they?), stop worrying and just enjoy the game?

No, you're right. He's played 282 games professional but only the last two are relevant when considering his discipline.

Actually, you're right about me being right and, as usual, you're wrong.

You seem to have missed G1's point completely.... (I'm guessing not for the first time...) Going by the trend you seem to have adopted that the last two games are extremely significant, on that basis there was no reason whatsoever to think that Bailey would be sent off in the Catalans game because he hadn't been sent off in the two previous games. Yet he was. So, if "stats" prior to that game suggested that he wouldn't be sent off, yet were proved to be wrong, why should we pay any attention at all to "stats" prior to this game?

Im praying for a defeat. We already have the prospect of a fixture pile up and going out of the CC would free up some time to play those games without playing twice in a week and potentially ruining the season. The CCs days as a meaningful competition went years ago and now its just a major distraction at the worst time of the season.

Unfortunately I think the players want this on their CVs so we will probably put out a strong team. Personally I'd have given the u19s a run out

I am not quite sure what you are trying to say.

The facts are, and no fog knitting from G1 will change that, is that for the last two games Bailey has been referred at the Disciplinary for 3 offences, and banned for two of them. That is all you can base an opinion on for the next game. What he did the previous 280 odd is completely irrelevant. He has already conceeded as many penalties this season has he did in 2011, and is only 4 short of his 2012 entire season total, this despite playing much less game time. He has been the subject of conversation on panels since the Catalans incidents, and even Barrie McDermott wrote a piece which was not complimentary of how he conducts himself.

With that in mind, the here and now is what matters. If he goes about his business within the rules, then no worries. Personally, I don't think the daft hero worship of him is doing him any favours.

Hopefully your view is not shared by anyone involved in preparing for Saturday's encounter.

I hope they do and I also hope one day they achieve their Challenge Cup dream.

It appears all you are rpepared to base your opinion on. Others might take a more balanced view.

If Bailey is likely to get sent off because of his performances in the last two games then isn't he equally likely to score based on the same criteria?
