I'm not suggesting that we will or won't sign him (or anyone for that matter - where I live I have no Rugby League grapevine from which I can spread rumours!) but I don't think it's remotely comparable to the Dougie Laughton Days to suggest we might be interested in a young English international.
Isn't that exactly the sort of player that Leeds have been willing to pay a fee to supplement the squad for in the Caddick/Hetherington era? (Iestyn, Pratt, Senior, Ellis and Hardacre are the only examples I can think of)
I'd also suggest that the choice of moving from Huddersfield to Leeds for a player would have a lot more to think about that simply "possibly a few extra quid a week in his pocket" - Huddesfield may have the best chance of challenging honours in the immediate term but do would you really bet on that in the medium term (what is it 50 years since they won anything?)

Fair point I forgot for a moment that the turnover requirement was removed a couple of years ago 
In any case I would imagine that Hudds salary cap balancing will be tricky over the next couple of years as they have several players that they've either picked up relatively cheaply (eg Brough) or have come through the ranks (eg Cudjoe, Lawrence) and are now becoming internationals. haven't they got 4 players in the England squad and 5 in the Knights squad - significantly more than Leeds (off the top of my head). |

These rumours about Ellis from Quinns are gathering pace.
Seems like Quinns are getting Rinaldi back and Ellis is being allowed to leave.
Also looks like Quinns have/are signing Kaufusi from the NRL.
I was rather hoping we might be after Kaufusi and be offered him as bait in a deal to release Bedsy back to Newcastle.

Paul McShane is OOC soon and will not sign a new contract at Leeds. He Dad was very animated in explaining that to a few fans in the Southstand at the Hull FC match. He's not been happy with his recent treatment re game time, games played etc.
Rumour has it Griffin signed for us 2/3 weeks ago but nothing announced yet (Giants fans at Bradford game telling me). Some of them are quite happy he is leaving. Hard to coach and poor attitude. Missed the Wakefield game as he decided a mid week tattoo was a good idea during the season (most players will have work done during the off season) but then it got infected so he was dropped and fined by the club. Hudds happy to offload him and Griffin happy to increase his salary at Leeds.
