I was acually the one member of the crowd at this game as I was driving by and you can't afford to miss a game of rugby at this time of year. All I can say is that the Calderdale lads, apart from a couple, were pretty much outclassed and out sized. After teh match I checked the results they've had and they don't seem to have done too badly, they were also short of subs.
I think you've got a great guy in Gibbo and one thing I can say is that even though they were losing badly they all listened to him so he must have gained some respect.

In terms of the Gibson appointment, best of luck to him. I think people are far too quick to judge. He hasn't even started the role yet and people are already saying how bad at it he will be. Everybody has to start somewhere. In 20 or 30 years time it could turn out he's winning "Best Coach of All Time" after leading Leeds to countless victories in every competition. Then you'd all have egg on your face and look like idiots for jumping in with the... "What a rubbish signing" comments.

Just give the guy a chance... then judge.

Cant help thinking that some of the responses regarding the ex-buffs coach Butterill are personal and from people who have agendas with him.

I have played under Mark and think he is a great young coach and certainly knows his stuff.
yes the team had a blip in the semi last year but if you would have witnessed the refs performance in that game it certainly wasnt the coaches fault?

2 minor premierships and a grand final win in just 2 years in charge.Not a bad record and one which im sure all Rhinos fans would take all day long.

Gibson and not Butterill has the 20's job anyhow ...was Butterill even asked??

To be fair, he inherited a pretty good side from Paul Cook at the end of 2008, arguably the best in the division once Crusaders Colts graduated to their proper level.

Pretty sure he made 8 changes to pauls squad but if that inherited then fair enough?
