It may be that Donald was told to stay out on his wing more to cover for the inexperience of Watkins rather than to come in and look for work.
Re the pass/interception to Hall, it was a good job he came in to make the interception. Had he not, my recollection is that they had at least a 2 man overlap so could well have gone in for a score of their own.
I think we're lucky to have Donald, Hall and Smith as our wingers all bring something different and complementary to the table.

As far as I'm concerned from what I've seen Smith is a winger/full back.
I'll be delighted though if he makes a successful transition into the centres.
Strength in depth and versatlity/cover is the aim of every coach. Let's hope that's what we've got, injuries permitting.
