| Thought Smith made a real difference when he came on. You can see why L Sutcliffe wants to play centre, he’s no halfback. Pack went OK, but lost a lot of momentum at the first changes. Dumb plays also gifted them points that got them the lead and then kept them in the game.
Onwards and upwards, 2 points gratefully accepted.

| Myler, Oledski, Prior, Tetavano all top class. Broadbent has all the makings. Not a Sutcliffe fan in any case but he is truly dire in the halves. Thought Courtney Hill came across far better than the normal special guest fodder.

| Didn’t think we saw the best of Tet at 13 tbh. He played well don’t get me wrong and he looks the real deal but His best is barn storming runs. We wasted him at times where he was passing the ball not running in aggressively. We looked very iffy on our right flank. Tupou and Johnstone had us on toast there. Gale only looked 70% fit.
Good to get 2 points though and showed some real spirit coming back from 16-4

Yes tetevano looked better with Smith on the field, who i thought looked back to where he was before lockdown

| Plusses and minuses for both sides.
Hard to be too judgemental after first game but you'd certainly be looking for fairly rapid improvements from some players. But all will be better after their first run out.
But, on the whole, happy with a win on the board.

| How long are Hurrell, Handley, Newman and Lui out for? Is Walker definitely done for the whole season?

| Im not being critical of Liam Sutcliffe here but i hope i never see him play in the halves again. Its not fair on him, hes no good there and it does nothing for the team. Not his fault, he aint a 6.
Weve a decent pack there thought Tetevano looked strong and with him Mikolaj and Prior on weve makings of a very good pack.
Broadbent and Alex Sutcliffe did good solid jobs, Myler excellent and both hookers had their moments.
Have to say we got our share of decisions today
We need to be better next week thats for sure but we will be better for the game today.
A win but improvements to be made.

Handley out for a few weeks, Lui I believe out for about 6 more weeks, Walker deffo done for the season. No idea on Newman. Need to hope Eastmond gets up to speed quickly otherwise it’s more of Sutcliffe at SO..

You wish Martin!!
Good game all round but I was a bit disappointed we didn't take the points tbh... Too many brain farts and a fairly lenient referee to the Leeds cause didn't help our cause I felt.
I thought ZaneTetevano and Oledzki were stand outs for you guys I think...

| In reality, Lui, McClelland, eastmond and Myler are all ahead of Sutcliffe for a role in the halves, but injuries have forced our hand. It's probably also why Gale was playing at only 70% fit.
Some good stuff today. We generally looked in control, but didn't have cutting edge near their line and susceptible to a long range breakaway

| Agree re decisions. Ref could not have given us more if he had the South Stand blowing the whistle for him. Sure that will not last.

| Ryan Hall looking right back at home at headingley, I don’t think we should have spent the cash in a winger but would have been great to have him back
