The way dome of our supporters are turning on Smith is s bit embarrassing IMO'"
I'd be more worried about some players not repaying the coaches faith in selection.

Both our tries came from Sezer kicks. We did not get into their end enough to give halves the opportunities that KR had.
Not saying he was brilliant but he was one of our better players for mine

| So were just down to giving injured players abuse now?

| I just think a lot of fans are getting frustrated with how many players seem in and out of the team on long bans, injuries or etc as soon as they get back on the pitch.
Especially players who have had it repeatedly .
No injured player should get abuse,of course not. But that frustration will be aimed somewhere and some targets are easier than others.

| We took fusi when he had hardly played in two years. Fairly obvious he isn’t the kind of player who can play with a knock. That is just how some players are built.
We should support him, not say right go back to Aus. What sort of message does that send

| We were poor last night and only lost by 8 points.
KR are a very average side so are we.
We`ve had 3 decent halves in 14 which clearly isn`t good enough.
2 halfbacks who occasionally play well but by and large are invisible.
Forwards who should (on paper) e good enough to bully a lot of teams but don`t.
A hooker who for me is a great back up hooker but we need better.
And I totally agree with the poster saying Newman, Austin and Bentley need to stop arguing with the ref and blaming other players when things don`t go right and start putting their money where their mouth is.
Newman is or could be an exceptional talent but needs to stop listening to his own hype and get on with showing what he can do.
Olpherts, Hooley and Roberts nowhere good enough yet like I`ve said before.
I reckon MacDonald will play wing with Martin and Newman centre and maybe give Tindall the other spot on the wing against Huddersfield.

| Myler, Tindall, Newman, Martin, MacDonald for back 5 and Holroyd, O’Connor, Oledski, Tetevano, McDonnell, Smith for me. Sangare, Walters, Lisone, Johnson bench.

| not sure the half backs can do anything when the forwards are so passive or beaten. 2nd half v cats when the pack dominated they looked good enough

I’m not sure our pack was dominated against HKR; the backs kept making silly errors and sacrificing the field position.
Holroyd, Smith have been in good form all year and we have four decent props on rotation for the first time in lots of years…
We need to get Tet wider where he is much more effective and I think we’re okay up front. When we let him go we might want a decent hooker or maybe one more very direct second row.

| People keep making lame excuses.
We get thrashed at Warrington at the best of times
Even our great teams got beat at Hull KR
Even our great teams lost at Cas, it’s a derby.
Hull was close, it could have gone either way.
It was wet and windy, we had injuries.
It’s a process….blah blah blah. All this is in first 2 months of the season.
Why is Smith on a downward trajectory compared to last season despite apparently getting rid of some dead wood and bringing his own players in?
Remember in 2019- it’s a 5 year transition
2020- it’s a 5 year transition, starting from now
2021 - actually it starts now
2022 - no now.
Let me guess, Smith needs to clear out loads of dead wood and it’ll probably take a few years to get cooking? Yeah I thought.
Let’s just call it a 30-year transition and wait for another golden generation, if the game isn’t dead by then.

| Smith had his hands tied regarding new signings for this year, and has tried to add some depth in key positions. I’m relatively happy with Sangare and McDonnell and MacDonald.
Yes there is more dead wood and I’ve posted before I’d not f about and I’d ring the changes. This could be done for next season as various contracts come to an end.
We now have O’Connor, Holroyd, Gannon, Walters starting to cement themselves as first grade players and Johnson, Simpson, Sinfield not too far behind so yes the prospects of a new home-grown generation look good.
There are a number of other good players coming through the academy. We had bad luck with Walker, and a few other young prospects haven’t developed as we wanted but I honestly feel we are only a FB and SO away from being a very decent side now.
Totally agree the club have spaffed 3-4 years on really poor signings and just got the rebuild completely wrong. However there are genuine reasons to be positive now - IF we can get rid of excess salary cap and invest it in the correct areas.

And why do you seem to dismiss the "excuses" and lay all the blame with Smith? Your anti Smith agenda is laughable
