| I think Wire are deffo top 3.
Really hope I’m wrong.
But we’ve essentially let 2 front line overseas first 17 props leave and replaced them with one.
No matter how good Tetevano is, that’s a backwards step.
Tommy is a great prospect, but he’s now thrust into the frontline 17 every week at age 19!
Replacing Ava with similar is an absolute must for me.
Maybe the likes of Gavet could work.

| Ava leaving has undoubtedly thrown a massive spanner in the works.

| And I reckon although Inglis is finished in NRL, he’ll still do plenty of damage in SL

| Quote Simmo71="Simmo71"We have enough to put a team out and start the season and Tetevano is a great signing.
But unfortunately we are being left behind by the others who are doing good business early.
Saints, Wigan and Wire miles ahead.
Then Catalans and probably Huddersfield.
I think we’re in a battle for 6-8 with Cas and Hull.
At best unfortunately.
And without any injuries.
A few injuries and we are battling with Salford and KR.'"
I think one of the main reasons of not doing early business is without doubt the debt of the stadium build coupled with the financial crisis. I can forgive the club for that in this climate

Completely disagree with this. Think we are a top 4 squad as we stand. Add one more quality prop and we are looking really tasty.
Agar and Shinfield have us united as a team. That means we are very dangerous, with the quality we already have, and young players coming through....
Super League title might be too much to ask next year, but I'd settle with defending our CC crown!

Dont know.just remember we were linked with him a month ago and given how small the market is at the moment he maybe one of our options.

Not convinced its as bleak as you say, we are as we all know one prop short possibly twoThis i'm sure will be sorted either before or during the season. I would think Prior will do a fair few minutes at prop which will allow Smith to play at Loose.I'm expecting a big season from Tommy. We have plenty of options in the back row and cover in all other positions..Long term injuries in the front row would make it a very difficult but that could be said of probably any team whether front row or any other position.

| With the addition of another prop we will be competitive but not potential comp winners. To move to that level we need a new stand off (or a stone lighter and 100% fitter version of the existing one ) and we need to add pace to the 3/4.

| I agree.
Two more props and a stand off and we could trouble the top 3.
It might not take a lot.
But the trouble is we haven‘t done and don’t look like doing that sort of business.
I fear mid-table.

I agree. Wigan and Saints are the yard stick we should be judging our team against if we are to be grand final winning contenders and we’re a good bit behind. They were fabulous in the grand final last season.
