| Unreal comeback I’m gob smacked. We lack power upfront without a doubt but we don’t lack team spirit. Credit to the players and staff

| I’ve watched that again and my word did we get some penalties against us. Many not warranted but we must improve our discipline. A lot of it came on back of losing collision. Ash H very unlucky on the interception. He was borderline. Thought Hicks was far too keen to blow the whistle all game

| Stick Fafita in there and maybe one more and we'll be a tough team to beat. Good comeback and belief after a poor start and importantly good spirit.

Shocked he awarded the Mellor try without sending it upstairs, maybe an evener for being told in his ear Handley was actually onside

| Couple of areas for me.
Need some added physicality and dynamic carrying in the pack, front and back row. Whether that’s someone incoming at prop, and utilise Walters/Muizz in the back row, who knows.
Lui looked off the pace, he was a virtual passenger. He generally just caught the ball and shipped straight on, didn’t really offer much change of attack. Hurrell, and to an extent Newman made a few errors, but did have moments key to the comeback.

| Awful first hour , discipline thriughout was shocking as were our basic skills & play calls.
We definately need some more mobility & power in the pack for me Holroyd comes in for Donaldson.
Lui was woeful hopefully Mclellend gets a shot soon.
Wrt Hicks ive no real issues with how he penalised us "Handley aside" , its more of whst he didnt ping them for his consistency was diabolical imo.
That last 15 minutes we showed what we're capable of & its a huge positive in terms of attitude & fitness L.Briscoes try was top Class but overall i dint i think he's good enough in his all round game to be an elite Winger.
Hurrell is so frustrating a genuine powerhouse but also hands like cows t!t$.
For me Mellor was my MOM ,Cam Smith was good as was Rhys Msrtin.
Hopefully they got a good old fashioned rollicking we'll have to improve big time for he next 2 games.

| I think Agar is aware we need some more punch in the pack. It’ll be interesting to see if we can manage to make that happen. Saints will destroy us if we play like that against them. Our confidence should be v high though

| My take on the game yesterday.
The knock to Myler early doors and his subsequent HIA made us lose shape and we dealt with it badly, took half an hour to recover and by then we had lost all momentum and we were a bit devoid of ideas on how to turn it around. Fortunately half time came when it did.
I expected an improvement in the 2nd half and was dissapointed when it didn't happen. Lui was poor and offered nothing, forwards lacked the grunt that was needed and Dwyer from dummy half was woefull passing to the floor or over head. Very difficult to get any fluidity with that poor service.
Then the turnaround came, Leeming was introduced. He made all the difference from dummy half and the belief came back as we managed to get on a roll. Cuthburtson was given decent service and able to hit the ball at pace, Smith showed why he is an exciting prospect and the flow seemed to improve all round.
Not sure what happend to Hudds, maybe they thought it was in the bag and turned off mentaly. One of the finest come backs I've seen but to put it all into perspective, effectively it was the first game of the season and look what happened last time. Give us time to shake off the dust. I dont think we are a top 3 side however I think anything after that may be acheivable for us this season.

| Thought the Huddersfield pack played well in that first half and Gaskell controlled the game until someone maybe Mellor gave him a dig in the second half and he went missing.Luke Briscoe is still the better winger of the 2 Briscoes and took that try well.
Ava struggled in this new format and will need to get up to speed for next week.
Not sure why Leeming didn`t start with Dwyer coming on in the second half but that`s my own personal view.
Gale and Mellor the stand outs for me and I thought Golding did well in the first half for them until he tired in the second half.
I have to say I`m no fan of Myler but thought he did pretty well considering the knock he took in the first half and apart from one error coped with the high ball.
Let`s hope he handles it next Sunday against Saints who will test him for sure.
Hicks was very poor and I thought their first try came from a 3 man steel.
He also penalised Myler for pushing the man playing the ball when he ignored exactly the same incident on Gale not long before that.
The 6 again was inconsistent which is pretty much the same in the NRL.

Agree with a lot of that
I think we do have to give the refs some slack as they are adapting as much as the players but I thought his six agains were a bit erratic.
I think with Dwyer and Leeming it was simply a case of easing Leeming back in, but going forward I see Dwyer as the interchange hooker not the starting hooker I was impressed with Leemings dummy half service.
Myler was excellent, the error came shortly after being hit on the head didn't it? what I like about him at fullback is he chimes into the line very well.
Mellor was MOM for me, and Cameron Smith looked dangerous

| The six again rule in this country is an utter nonsense. Our refs were miles behind the Aussie refs before looking at this, but introducing this calls up all sorts of problems. Absolutley none of our officials have the integrity to manage that rule fairly.
In terms of the match, we were utter garbage. The result doesn't change that. It was nonsense when posters were saying the ref was not to blame up to 60 minutes, as he quite clearly was. And just as clearly as he was influencing Huddersfields performance upto 60 minutes, he did the exact oppossite for the next 20 minutes, and turned out to be the big influence on us coming back, with some poor calls in our favour.
We have some poor players in our squad unfortunately, not up to this level, and we have others that luckily are way above their team mates. That Briscoe try by the way was fantastic play, and for any faults he has, he is the only winger in our squad who would have scored that try. No way Handley would have got close to it.
We won't get away with Myler playing fullback in another game, he was found out there. Thought he battled admirably and tried so hard, but certainly not the influence he was previously.

| I think next week will be a very good test to see where we actually are, Saints looked very good yesterday, play like we did in the first 60 it will be a long evening.

| Apropos of nothing, was that a better comeback than the one against saints in 2003, I can't quite remember the scoreline in that one?

| Can i ask when the ref gives a back to 1 penalty what does he signal? I get a feeling nobody in the ground will have a bloody clue whats going on.
