I'm happy to highlight why when talking about player performances I form opinions based on what I see rather than what some 3rd party tells me. In addition to his metres and his average per carry Achurch according to Opta also made 34 tackles, 4 tackle busts and 2 clean breaks on Saturday - yet you'll be hard pressed to find any sorrow on here that he'll be history after this season.
Yes Craig I understand where some of those Achurch metres were made just as I am aware when Garbutt made many cheap metres at salford this season (on a rare occasion when Leeds attempted to build some pressure) through goal-line drop-out kick returns just as Peacock often did in years gone by. Unfortunately those all still end up in the totals just as the hard graft ones up the middle do, just as Golding racked up 17 tackles recently by placing hands on as 3rd man in practically complete tackles yet they show the same value as a Hardaker one and one miracle try saver over the line - not that theres been many of them this year but you take the point.

You don't like stats that don't help your view???
And I formed my opinion that Singleton was playing poorly by watching his performances, the stats happen to back that up convincingly. That you of all people don't like using them on certain occasions is amusing.

| If people are using the 'eye test' on Singleton and not seeing how poor he's been then they might want to make a trip to their opticians.
He'd be getting slated if he was a new signing and not from the academy.

I rarely get time on here these days.
I won't be wasting it entering discourse with you, after this post.

Yep your posts are spent valuably just pointing out the bleeding obvious that Achurch is sh*t.

| And yet Achurch's Opta stats from Saturday were arguably as good or better than any other Leeds forward. If that's a reasonable conclusion to draw then the case for their exclusion from debate is made.
I pay little attention to Opta's stats as evidence of anything and use them even less - only one poster consistently puts any store in them and he's an even bigger bore than either of us.

As pointed out, quite a difference between someone's performances over a period of games than one game in isolation.

| Achurch has had many good moments in a Leeds shirt. The problem is that they are few and far between, and padded out with softcockery

| Call bull if you like on this but from what I've heard from a cas director........
Burrows has been offered a contract by Cas, as he wants to leave due to his relationship with Brian Mac. It's also true what's been said on the other post about gale refusing to sign because of Roberts wage and us being in for him.

30462.jpg [b:3oz7jfnu]Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane told BBC Radio Manchester:
"Some people within the club [Castleford] have come out with comments saying we're beatable and it's a great game for them and they're very confident.
Many of the comments I've heard have been bordering on disrespectful.
They can be as confident as they want, but they're going to get a tough game this weekend and we'll be trying our best to make sure they don't get that win.
We've played in some big games over these last few years and they've not played in as many, if any, so to be that confident is very risky for them.
They come here with confidence because they've scored a lot of points and beaten us at home, but I wouldn't be overconfident if I was them."
[u:3oz7jfnu]Incidentally Wane's mob got stuffed 16 - 4[/u:3oz7jfnu] [/b:3oz7jfnu]:30462.jpg |

Since i posted this
Quote: Claypitrhino "It almost looks inevitable that Gale will go back to the Rhinos unfortunately
Word doing the rounds is that Gale isn't too happy with contract negotiations with regards to what the club are currently paying Ben Roberts and that his contract is well below what they are paying him
'"
I have asked several people who's opinions i respect and they all reckon that Gale will be a Rhino next season
Regarding the Rob Burrow link to joining Cas they reckon that it all depends on who is head coach at the Rhinos in 2017
I don't want to see Gale'y go as IMO he is the best HB in SL but i can't see him not rejoining his boyhood club unfortunately for 2017
