Nothing against Lussick but I'm glad he's signed for Salford. He had good NRL experience, but the reality is that he's been playing in the championship for two, or maybe three years. I'm taking it as a positive sign that we are being a bit more ambitious.

Sadly, given the club had gone on Twitter advising a 22.30 announcement on New Year’s Eve which passed in silence, it looks like Mr Lussick gave us a late swerve and chose Salford.

Given lussick has been doing nothing for 9 months and we still could not get it sorted out, it certainly plays into my impression that we are still a long way from the Wigan/ saints level of urgency with signings.

Even leaving them aside, I reckon wire have 7 props, they probably are not keen on the 2 overseas ones but still have 5 British ones, Not including young ones.

Not a great position having 3 props plus Holroyd as training starts again. Given I’d guess zane and Prior are still in aus, Mik will be able to get plenty of work with the hookers in.

We really gave sunk low If people are mad with the club for missing out on the likes of Lussick, even for squad filler we can do better than that.

No evidence that the name in the frame was ever lussicks in any case. Announcing a non-announcement for new year's eve is a bit odd though
