So we're giving deals on the back of sentiment? Jjb should bow out he's done more than enough & he'd be ideal to join the Acadamy staff or the media dept.
If we are to move forward & start challenging again then Jjb should'nt be part of the 17.
As for Ablett he is a liability now & has been for 2 years.
It's wasting money that could be spent elsewhere.

Ablett especially has been worse than "boulderdash" for a while or have you not been actually watching?
There is no value in either being in the starting 17. Jjb at a push on ltd minutes for a few games if fully fit.

With guys like Merrin on the way you'd think there should be enough leaders on the pitch. Aside from that element I'm not sure Ablett or JJB do enough any more, particularly when you offset the yards they make against the penalties you can almost guarantee they'll give away.

There’s got to be a time when even players who have great attitudes, experience etc call it a day though. They can be boulderdash in terms of performance but still have all of those things.

I thought last season was the wake up call, it seems not.

Fine with JJB getting a year, would have liked to see ablett get one rather than two years.

There are only so many changes you can make in one off season and there are still a number of worse players to leave this season. Next off season will also see quite a number of changes.

If we offloaded all the players people want this off season we would likely not get much better quality in and be left in no better position.

The key is getting in a controlled number of real quality players, players who can do a job, quality youngsters and finally some squad fillers. The salary cap only goes so far.

All dependent on injuries, but personally I think Ablett will go great in the systems Furner uses. Think he will be a main man for us.

I can’t see anyway that JJB fits in those systems, other than extra body.

I think Fallons post makes a lot of sense though. And remember there were posters calling out for Keinhorst to be kept for gawds sake.

Storm are having to offload players to give Cam Smith his new contract - Kasiano is available, with the Storm willing to pay some freight....
Would plug a gap we've got, and I think would be fantastic in SL.
