| Quote: Clearwing "So just to be clear, Lam's "voluntary" decision to leave Wigan had nothing to do with a loss at home to saints in which they failed to score a try, followed by a Richard Agar inspired home nilling by Leeds (the first time Wigan failed to score at home in the super League era). Lesson clearly learned, he then produced the coaching masterclass that once again saw agar inflict another home nilling, this time dumping them out of the play offs. So yeah, I'm quaking
So just to be clear, French & Field were out that season who shone in 2022. I'm sure I've said that once.

| Joking aside, I'm delighted Leigh have come up and are clearly aiming far higher than eleventh place. Increases levels of competition so very much a good thing and puts pressure on others to make greater efforts to avoid the drop.
Warrington must be s******* themselves

Thanks.
Haha, tbh i think Warrington have put together a decent squad. Whether Powell can get them to gel as a team, and do well, remains to be seen. All in all, I'm looking forward to next season, and hope Leigh can make a better fist of it this time round.

Warrington and Hull are very similar. Always seem to have a decent squad on paper but they seem to be lacking the culture to move on the rung of the ladder and win the big prize. We were there before and the proper Tony Smith changed it all. I don't think Powell has a record to make him any more than someone who can get his team playing nice rugby and giving the top teams a game.
I'd like to see Leigh do well this year. Beaumont gets stick but at least he's stepping outside the usual rugby league owner persona and making the game a bit more fun.

Anyone else want embarrassing?'"
Yeh I'm sure his input for Australia at the WC was critical. They had no chance without him....
By the end at Wigan he was a completely broken man, out of his depth with no idea.
As pointed out, he clearly found his level with endless funds and unlimited OQ players, playing against part timers.
Back with the big boys now...
Best of luck!

In 2021 Wigan were without French & Field that season who have shone in 2022. You (Hull Fc) can only dream of a Grand final. So it seems you & your thumbs up likes know nowt. BTW - Nene can be replaced by a quota spot if Leigh wish to do so. Now then, is there anything else you would like to be corrected on?'"
Ak the Wigan fans about him, Wigan are different from Hull, they have to win something to be successful, he failed to do that at Wigan and had he been a success he would still be there. He had a established squad and the one of the best youth systems in the league and still underperformed.
Haven't you already currently got 9 overseas players (Lam off quota and releasing Neve)?
Not sure what Hull have to do with this, that irrelevant, but we have made a grand final in 2007, we lost , I don't see that as a success and I'm sure Wigan fans don't either. No one remembers final and semi loses for good reasons.

Well Deggsey hasnt been shy of splashing the cash so at least it wont be boring.
Good on him, got a mouth on him but has backed it up and backed his team.
Personally I hope they can shake it up at the bottom and do well.

| I genuinely think that, even though Leeds Live have said Nene MacDonald as a done deal and club haven’t confirmed it, that the deal may have fallen through. I don’t see why Leeds wouldn’t have confirmed it by now.

| I thought you said he'd had his photos done? Surely that wouldn't have happened before a deal was agreed.

| ...or maybe he wasn't due to start training until this week, along with other WC players? I think that's what Smith said.

He was, but could they of done that before medical? I’m probably over thinking it, but like I say, it’s strange it’s not been announced yet.

| The take it with a pinch of salt rumour ive hearf is that Leeds are saying they want Leigh to pay part of his wages which has stalled the deal.
