| Got to be put into context. We went over with only 2 fit recognised props and then down to only 2 subs after 20/25 mins losing two of our best players. Lack of size and lack of subs along with travel was always going to lead to very tired bodies that made errors and missed tackles as we went on. I mean we just faced the NRL champions with Ornondroyd and Delaney doing uninterrupted 55/60 mins stints in the middle of the pitch.
Criticism of Myler and Moon (who hasn't been able to train over the week btw) is very harsh in the circumstances with a depleted and knackered pack of fowards.

| You can't judge Leeds super league prospects in the context of tonight's game.
Myler will go fine in super league.

All fair comments re circumstances (though 3 recognised props) with injuries and credit their effort and courage. Moon and Myler as a half back combo though im not convinced as neither posess the essential organising and kicking attributes a team needs.

I dont think anyone has. More a reflection therefore on where SL realistically is.

| Did anyone seriously expect anything else? Decent hit out and another good experience if nothing else.
The tricky bit is getting your head back in the game for playing teams like Widnes and Catalans now.

| Not really, no. I guess if I had I'd have booked the morning off to watch it. Got it recorded but tbh I'll not be in a hurry to give it a viewing. Just hope we can retain focus on our return and that the injuries aren't serious.

Didn't expect a Leeds win but it's a shame that the injuries before and during the match prevented us from having a better crack at them in making it more of a contest.

| Some things to consider when reacting to today’s performance and result.
The NRL salary cap is £5.32 million.
Super League salary cap is £1.9 million.
Leeds have a front row injury crisis, Garbutt, Peteru, Galloway, Mullally and Oledski are all injured.
We lost Ward and Walker to injury in the first half.
Melbourne dominated many NRL teams in a similar fashion to which they just did with Leeds.

| Simply no match for a much more powerful pack.
I thought Myler looked pretty good. I have never thought that Moon is a half back but that performance was embarrassing, not for him but teammates who just refused to run for him and give him passing opportunities when he had the ball.

| I personally thought it was an effort to be proud of. They're a far superior team, with some genuine superstars. In superleague, You simply don't get players of the calibre of Slater, Smith, Vunivalu, or the size and athleticism of Bromwich, Asofa-Solomona and Finucane.
The gulf is class is huge - the difference in salary cap says it all. Then throw in some missing players and in game injuries. The lads can hold their heads high.
As for Myler, I think criticism is very harsh - and I tell you something, his effort and defence cannot be questioned. I've been very impressed with his defence.

| I know we had a lot go against us but some of the tries we conceded were really soft, in fact we really shouldnt have let in any of the first half tries

| Myler has had a good start to the season and is a good player. He’s a very good signing. I’d have loved to have seen a McGuire / Myler half back combo.
If we’d been at full strength I honestly think we’d have pushed them close. Our pack was severely underside / under strength.
I think we’ll go very well this season.
