its silly to pretend our achievement in winning the LLS was more impressive than Hudds. It wasnt really. Winning the treble was.

Had WIgan beat us in the GF would we be celebrating a magnificent season? not really.
Had we drawn with Hudds and still won the GF would anyone care about the LLS?

I remember that night before Hall went over and i remember thinking that a CC, Championship double was still a fitting tribute to the boys and if we win at old trafford tonight will be forgotten.

No, I would think that Huddersfield deserved the LLS as they had accrued more league points than anyone else, and that we had blown it after the CC final

I agree, which highlights that the LLS is still the third most important of the trophies we won and only really gained added importance as part of a treble.

I would agree, while the LLS we won was harder to win than when Shudds won it due to the new structure of the 8's it's still for me the least desirable cup to win for me and only really takes on significance when teamed with a GF win or the treble

......but it didn't happen this way or that way, so it's judge on how events unfolded, not how they MIGHT'VE happened.

So basically you are doing exactly what they mock you for doing. Its important when Leeds win it, not important when someone else does.

To my knowledge (please put me right if otherwise), no one has claimed that the LLS is anything other than the lowest ranked trophy of the three. It is, however, still one of only 3 trophies available - with added significance when making up a treble.

All I have seen is posters saying that it is harder to achieve the LLS under the new system as opposed to the old. On balance, I would say that is probably the case. Take the case of Huddersfield in 2013 - they had won sweet FA in 38,000 years, so one could reasonably argue that it was a big target once they were within sight. The likes of Leeds, Warrington & Wigan, on the other hand, possibly had their eyes on bigger prizes - all speculation I know, but not beyond the realms.

How is it harder to win? someone has to win it and someone will win it every year.

You say the likes of Leeds, Warrington and Wigan had their eyes on bigger prizes in 2013 and i would agree, I'd also say in 2015 they had their eyes on a bigger prize. Thats why with the scores 16-14 in the final minutes Leeds went for the 2 and didnt kick for the corner, because whilst it would have meant we lost the LLS we got a home semi for the big game.

Had we won the lls and nothing else it would have been no greater achievement than Hudds in 2013, and had Hudds or Wigan won it this year nobody would be talking about their great achievement and id bet a pound to a penny those bigging up our win of the LLS would be on here playing it down and telling hudds fans or wigan fans they only won it because we were concentrating on the big prizes

Firstly Hudds fans aren't mocking, they're sulking because their win wasn't met at the same level as Leeds.

And no, it isn't a case of it being more significant simply because Leeds won it. If Hudds did the treble in 2013 and Leeds only did the LLS this year then they could have a point but as I pointed out above......these scenarios didn't happen. So i'm judging it on what scenario ACTUALLY DID HAPPENED, not a what if.

and rightly so. People are going to mock as a fanboy if what is a great achievement for us is a meaningless one for them.

They aren't mocking because our success is meaningless to them, they're sulking because they wanted their success to be met with the same response, not just from opposition fans but Sky and other media too.....however it's blindingly obvious to most why it rightly wasn't and it's not because it was Leeds. Had Wigan or Saints done what we did this year I'd still be saying their LLS win was a much better achievement than Huddersfield's.
